Scott Kazmir - Won't Last Long

I've owned Kazmir in fantasy baseball for awhile. Please know this - he never ever ever pitches past the 6th inning. Even if he's dominating. He's a strikeout pitcher who throws way too many pitches.

He also is proned to "blow up" games. Look at the Boston series. He only went 4+ in one outing and gave up 5 ER etc.

He's talented. But he's also proned to getting shelled.

Either way - Tampa will have relief pitchers on the mound innings 7-9. Which we love.

If they go into this game with the same mindset as they did against Sabathia - I think we're in good shape. Make him throw ALOT of pitches.

i agree with your take on Kazmir, BP. Because of that, this game is basically a must-win for the Phils to have a chance in this series, IMO.

They have got to win the games Hamels pitches, because the pitching matchups are HUGE in Tampa's favor when you get to Moyer and Blanton.

Yep. We need this one bad. I can see Myers getting shellacked in game 2 and Moyer pitching well but still giving up 4 runs or so over 6.
