It took me awhile but I've finally embraced Philly's own Kurt Vile. His new album "Walkin on a Pretty Daze" is really fantastic. I'm starting to dig in on his older stuff now. Dude is a prolific songwriter. He has put out a lot of material in a short amount of time.

Watching Palladia channel and the Eric Claptons Crossroads Music Festival......WOW !!!!!!!!!!!! 2,3,4 and sometimes more of the Guitar Gods on stage at the same time. Jeff Beck,Buddy Guy,Robbie Robertson,Robert Cray, B.B. King,Jimmie Vaughn, etc . etc.
If you like guitar it's some good shit. Repeating this afternoon on VH1 6 hrs of jamsWe're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Steve, an extensive list (as always). I can't get past the first song (Reflektor) on the Arcade Fire album - They could have eliminated at least three minutes from the song. The pretentiousness of that band ruins the music for me. I was also let down by the Phoenix album - nothing stood out for me.
Anyway, I'd like to add the following to your list:
Daft Punk - Random Access Memories
Minor Alps - Get There
Atoms for Peace - Amok"Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein." - Joe Theismann
