  • How would Osi Umenyiora look in green?

Osi Umenyiora turned up the volume after the New York Giants' 41-9 loss to Carolina yesterday and suggested his days with the organization are over.

Umenyiora ranted about his limited playing time being an "unbelievable situation" and said, "What did I play, five snaps today?"

The defensive lineman, demoted from the starting lineup three weeks ago, told the New York Daily News is was his, "Last game at Giants Stadium, probably as a Giant . . . just the way everything has unfolded, it's been unbelievable. I would have never dreamt this in a million years. It is what it is. We live and we learn."

He also said this season was "absolute nonsense."

Umenyiora missed all of last season with a knee injury and clashed with defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan when he walked out of the Giants' practice facility in August. He lost his starting job despite having a team-high seven sacks.

He under contract through 2012 though so I don't see why the Giants would want to trade him or cut him. But a D-Line consisting of Osi-Patterson-Bunkley-Cole would rival Simmons-Brown-Pitts-White.

the gnats control where he's going ,they would never let him go to a division rival. Sh-eli would be crapping his pants at the prospect of Osi and Cole coming around end.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

So apparently we're all just assuming that Umeniyora is still good even though he got benched?

ACL injuries are a bitch. He still led the team in sacks.

I'd give him Parker or Clemons roster spot in a heartbeat.
