Obviously, Andrews is heading to Seahawks. This is all procedural protocol. As GM Howie Roseman just said, "We wish him well in Seattle."

The Andrews deal did not clear 6 deadline so they cut Max Jean-Gilles, say the Eagles will re-sign tomorrow.

Seattle OL coach Alex Gibbs quit today too. I wonder if these two events are related?

In case anyone didn't follow how well this turned out for Seattle. Shocker.

                  Per RotoWorld...

Seahawks G/T Stacy Andrews is a candidate for offseason release.

Andrews, 30 in June, started the first 12 games at right guard last season but lost the job to Mike Gibson down the stretch. Andrews was horrible in run blocking, so he won't be worth his scheduled 2011 base salary of $5.25 million.

Maybe the Eagles should have held on to Gibson and not become involved with the 2nd Andrews abortion.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

                      Update on this douche-bag...

                      Per RotoWorld...

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll remains bullish on disappointing G/T Stacy Andrews.

"Stacy is a legitimate factor at right tackle," Carroll said. Andrews did not even play right tackle in 2010. He was Seattle's right guard, turning in 12 below average starts before getting benched late in the season. Carroll says Andrews will be given a shot to start at right tackle in 2011, but he'll likely have to renegotiate his $5.25 million salary first.

                        Awwwwww...shame.

Seahawks informed G/T Stacy Andrews of his release.

We've learned to not trust Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, who endorsed Andrews after last season. "Stacy is a legitimate factor at right tackle," said Carroll in late March. Seattle proceeded to use its first-round pick on RT James Carpenter, and Andrews was never going to return in the first place with a $5.25 million base salary. He performed miserably last season.
