  • What Mathis was looking for per Eckle

Mathis reached out to me and said he did not demand a $3 million raise. He also said he was never offered a $1 million raise. Exact words:

"All I asked for in the end was Pro Bowl/All-Pro bonuses that would allow me to reach 8 mil/year. Which is slightly less than top 5 OG APY. But I would have had to earn them."
    "Hey Giants, who's your Daddy?"

Wishing to straighten things out, Chip meets with Evan, puts his arm around him in a fatherly manner and explains where Evan went wrong...

Yea who is to be believed. Maybe Rosendick was asking for something else. Too late now I would guess.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
      Hope is not a strategy
      RIP

It sounds to me like Mathis wanted $8 million. He even said as much if he made the Pro Bowl. The Eagles said sorry but you make enough. I think it's as plain as day. Mathis' BS story that he was only looking for a little incentive money is total BS! Unless you think $2 million is chicken feed.

Rarely do agents ask for something that the players don't want. Usually, that's how they end up getting fired for other agents. If Rosenhaus doesn't get him a lot more money, Mathis is going to be pissed.
