The New England Patriots are expected to bench wide receiver Josh Gordon for about a quarter during Monday's game against the Buffalo Bills because of tardiness according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.
Per RapSheet, Gordon will be benched for "several series -- about a quarter." He is expected to resume normal playing time thereafter. The Patriots likely have Gordon on a zero-tolerance policy, so he is lucky he was not outright released. Accountability has been a recurring issue throughout Gordon's career. Tom Brady has gone out of his way to take Gordon under his wing but the Patriots will show little mercy in axing him if the problems continue.
