The Eagles aren’t done adding bodies to the secondary, likely out of an abundance of caution given their injury situation in the position group last season and lingering issues as we get closer to the preseason.

NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the Eagles will sign former Titans safety Johnathan Cyprien to a one-year contract. The Eagles previously worked him out back in June.

Cyprien missed the entire 2018 season after suffering an ACL injury just before the preseason and was cut by the Titans earlier this year in March.

Cyprien entered the league in 2013, and spent his first four seasons in Jacksonville and last two in Tennessee. He’s started in all 70 games he was healthy for, and amassed 506 total tackles, 16 passes defended, 4 forced fumbles, 3.0 sacks and 2 interceptions.

He has the size to play a versatile role within the Eagles defense if healthy, including as a strong safety or linebacker.
