The Dallas Cowboys have released safety Ha HA Clinton-Dix, Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Dallas signed the safety to a one-year contract in March, counting on him to be one of their two starters at the position. That hope did not translate into training camp and the Cowboys have decided to part ways with the veteran.
In his contract, Clinton-Dix was fully guaranteed $2.25 million.

Damn they cut him even though his salary was fully guaranteed? I was thinking we may want to grab him for thw vet minimum but now I don’t think I want him.

I was thinking the same thing. But at vet minimum, what do we have to lose?

With Ford down we only have Wallace for our 3rd safety with nothing behind them. We're hurting at safety right now(what's new?) and Scwartz plays with 3 safeties over 50% of the time. Unless Ford comes back quick we might have to address the situation.
