Mailata and Pryor though I think (just one guy's opinion only) will turn out to be serviceable backups (which isn;t a bad thing) for their career

Keep an eye on Pryor this week ND. He's playing better than you think.

Yes the kids are playing, they are forced to because of the injuries and they are getting better. I thought Driskell looked really good until he got hurt which inevitably happens to any Eagle. In fact the offense looked good up front I thought this week, even when Mailata got in shockingly. It's just really the lack of speed that is hurting the team now. Jackson gets hurt and everything looks different for us. I don't think that we can let Ertz go though although Goedert is a stud too. Tough decision there. I'm thinking that Howie might be on the chopping block at some point. We'll see but Luri loves him. Then again he loved Andy and Banner too.

Andrewaters, I feel what you are throwing down about playing the young guys. I will say though for the most part they are. They have to due to all the injuries. Even Gerry is still young (25).
Now there is a difference between being young an can't play. Gerry clearly can't play.

I personally would say if this team does not win the next two games if I am Howie I am beginning to sell off some assets. What is Fletcher Cox worth to a contending team. How about Brandon Graham or Derrick Barnett. Even maybe Ertz (depending on when Goedert comes back). They need to play for next year if they start out 0-4-1. There is no coming back. Maybe you come out of this with a multiple first round pick situation. Now who makes those picks, another topic for another day

I think it is time to see what Mialata and K'Von Wallace can do. Wallace was an absolute stud at Clemson and he is a big kid. He seems to be instinctive and a good tackler. I have no clue why you wouldn't give the kid more of a look. And it is time to fish or cut bait with Mialata. I want the kid in the game if for no other reason so we can either get to know him better so I don't always misspell his damn name or we can determine that he can't play and I don't have to worry about how to spell it. And then we can watch him go to another team and become a Pro Bowl LT.

Get Mialata in there. Ditto Driscoll when healthy
Get Taylor and Bradley in there in place of Gerry and Edwards more
Get K'Von Wallace in there in place of both McLeod and Mills more. If Epps can get in there, why not the rook?
get Hightower and Quez more snaps. (I know Quez just got activated)

I'm done with DJax. Verdict is out on Jeffrey. I'm done with passing on stud LBs. Peters probably shouldn't be back and sure as shit shouldn't be getting paid what he is

I'm kind of done with Schwartz as well. Pederson is starting to irk me as well. Lots of issues.

what scares me the most is a once bright future for this team is really starting to look very bad. Like last in the division bad in the next couple years. They are going to have to really think about things now and the offseason
I’e Been calling on the kids playing all spring. I thought MaCloid was all over the field Sunday though. They play 3 safeties all the time anyway.

I watched the game concentrating on the 2 guards. They both played fine. In fact I'd give them a solid B. I decided to watch the game again to really check things out. Doug called a great game in the first quarter. He ran counters, traps, rollouts, counters and a bootleg specifically to have Wentz run. That lasted a quarter and he just went back to his boring stupid vanilla crap. WTF??? Something in his mind says that you can't run the same play twice....Why???? Anyway all I did was watch the first half so I really can't comment other than those two kids are really coming along in my book. I know that everybody is pist at Pryor for the penalty but other than that he played fine. I'm thinking that with a kick so long that they must attack the defensive line rather than protect on a shorter kick because the projecetory on a long kick is much lower and that's why he jumped a little early. After that I would have punted too. A tie sucks but it's better than getting beat.

Herbig and Pryor are exactly what they are here for, to be backups . 3/5 of your line are not supposed to be out with injuries at the same time. I actually think the backups have played rather well. If all but one of the starters were intact and only one backup was in, we wouldn’t be noticing either of them. Peters has sucked, and is injured, I am willing to see how we do with another newbie

OK Taz I hear you on Herbig but he hasn't played that bad. You want to cut somebody make an example of Pryor although I can guarantee you Pryor will not get through the wavier wire. He is a big man with some agility. The OL has talent hurt and young talent that needs developed. The issue is LT and RG injuries are just insurmountable obstacles for this offense.

I don’t bother listening to pressers from a winless team but the articles I’ve read today basically says even Doug knew he screwed up by playing for the tie.

but at least he’s not dan Quinn.

You can't Tank for Trevor but you can Tank. There are a lot of talented guys in the draft every year and some at key positions. There are a lot of talented edge and athletic type of LBs that are going to go in the top 15 in 2021. This would be a good year to go 5-11, get that top 5 pick, and then either slide back slightly or take a ridiculously talented athlete and plug him in for 8-10 years.

If you tank for Trevor, what are you gonna do with Wentz and his $128M ?
