  • Gannon Just Might Know What He's Doing

We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

one game does not mean the corner was turned. This was primetime Kirk Cousins they went against. Show the same dominance against Wentz and the washington whatevers and the jags and then have a decent showing against the Cardinals and then I will believe he has turned the corner.

I get it, but he showed more in that one game than he did last season, but he has a bigger clip in his AR

Nice video MM. I saw some invert Sunday but didn't see all the other stuff which you just can't see on a TV. I still think that the main difference between this year and last year's defense is the talent level that he's got back there though. Right now the DBs and LBs are carrying the defense but the front 4 have just been marginal and we really didn't anticipate that. We need more pressure there and we really haven't gotten it from them to be an elite defence. They did do a good job of opening holes for the blitzing LBs though and when the corners come they really show up! Not those little pussy crap guys that we used to have who just stopped as soon as they hit ANY type of contact. That really was pathetic at times. Good find MM and hope the Birds keep it

Good post 60 and nice video MM. one thing I would note is on the first third down stop Slay had safety help over the top so he was able to play tight and tough on Jefferson. I wonder
if the D played better because they were allowed to play more aggressive. Tough to play when you always sit back
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
            Hope is not a strategy
            RIP

He had to pick his spots to blitz because of the coverages too. We shut down the best WR in the league or top 2 anyway. In a passing league, I’ll take it

I think that was Slay's best game as an Eagle. He was like glue on Jefferson and was tough in the run game too. That was an All Pro performance for sure.
