Following a 34-28 Week 2 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, D'Andre Swift was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Swift ran for a career-high 175 yards and scored what turned out to be the game-winning touchdown.

"The offensive line was great," Swift said. "They made it a little bit easier, and I just tried to make the most of the opportunities I was given out there."

Swift ran the ball 28 times, averaging 6.3 yards per carry. His longest run was 43 yards, setting up his touchdown late in the fourth quarter.

On the Eagles' first touchdown, a 16-play drive in the second quarter, Swift ran the ball eight times for 39 yards. During the drive that ended with Swift's touchdown, he ran the ball seven times for 63 yards.

After his performance in Week 2, Swift ranks third in the league in rushing yards (17 and third in yards per carry (6.1). His 175 yards were the most rushing yards by an Eagle since LeSean McCoy on December 8, 2013.

It was a homecoming to remember for the Philadelphia native, being introduced as a Saint Joseph's Prep graduate with family and friends in the stands.

"D'Andre is an explosive player," said Offensive Coordinator Brian Johnson. "He had really good vision. It was great to see him come out and have a huge performance back in Philly."

This is the first time in the running back's career that he has won a Player of the Week award.

The Eagles have won back-to-back weekly awards after Jake Elliott was awarded NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his 4/4 performance on field goals in Week 1. -
