Early on the defense had to be the MVP and Sweat’s numbers were pretty good. I was wondering about MVP and his name came to mind but then I thought about Williams with pressures and sack, Ojomo was making plays, Smith and Davis and Carter were making plays, Baun and Cooooop were grabbing the ball. No way to separate who was the MVP. But Jalen’s numbers kept climbing. Rushing numbers, passing numbers, and you could tell on TV he was in charge.
Hurts was the right choice not because he happened to be QB but you can’t give MVP to entire D and Hurts was best individual performance
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy

Hurts was magnificent - as he was in SB LVII. In the biggest games, he shines. I take back all the bad things I said about him. He is probably the best QB for this team, because he holds his ego in check - among a bunch of players who also hold their egos in check. He is probably the glue.

No Dak, that defensive line rotation was unreal against a weak Oline. Ojomo is becoming a beast, Smith and Hunt are really going to be good DEs, the Georgia boys were a force up the middle. They were all so dominant that KC had extra blockers. The back 7 were playing 7 on 4 all night and we took them out of a running game and had nothing to do but attack. The dogs came to eat. That was as good as you can expect from a defense in the 2020s

As for Hurts, he had 5 incompletions, I believe he threw 2 away. His passes were pin point. He was sharp navigating the pocket and made some very decisive runs. This was IMO the most focused he has ever been. He deserved the award because he is the foundation of this team, the rudder on the ship.

We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

The D was dominating. Just a collective effort.

with Saquon neutralized, it put a lot on Hurts and he delivered. He deserved MVP for sure!

Sweat was consistently making remarkable plays Including hitting Maholmes causing him to throw the interception to Baun. What an impact that play had on the game! Of course you are right because the whole defense was swarming. I'm not sure you could give anybody the MVP in that game yesterday. Hurts played well and I wasn't disappointed with his choice but I never really have cared much about MVP awards anyway. Let's face it, football is the ultimate team sport.

And I have to give out an unexpected shout out to Maddox for the early third down pass breakup that got KC off the field and helped us get off to that big early lead.

The whole KC game plan of "contain Saquon and make Hurts throw" didn't really pan out for the Chiefs, did it?
