I have been an Eagles fan for 65 years. IMO, this is the greatest Eagles team ever assembled. Howie Roseman did a wonderful job putting this team together - probably the best single year that any GM has ever achieved. The team was led by a great collection of coaches - Sirianni, Fangio, and Moore, etc. did masterful jobs designing offenses and defenses and getting the best performance out of every player on the team. And the players were simply magnificent. They exemplified the best qualities of a team - all egos were held in check, they worked together - not as individuals, and they seemed to truly love one another. You can also give kudos to Jeffrey Lurie for creating such a wonderful environment by simply supporting the people who work for him. Lastly, you have to give props to Eagles fans who give their hearts and souls for the Eagles - the best sports fans anywhere in the world. Philadelphia adores the Eagles. Now we can truly be proud of them. Fly, Eagles, Fly!!!

think back on the game. It seems like every player who played, had a moment. They were all laser focused. The coaching staff needs some love for what they all did. We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

I will say... you could make an argument that this was the greatest team ever.
3 losses... two of those being asterisk losses where we handed the game to the other team.
It is doubtful this team will be recognized for being one of the greatest ever but I think we are in that conversation. You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

I don’t think it has hit me yet but we actually won another Super Bowl last night! 2017 was an extremely stressful, edge of your seat, just waiting for the other shoe to drop event - right up until the last play of the game. Every second on the clock seemed to hang like an eternity in that game. When that game was over, the relief of having won the game and the realization that the drought was over was overwhelming.
Last night’s complete domination of a dynasty team was a very different experience. As much as I enjoyed it, I don’t think I have the same emotions that I had seven years ago. Part of that might be the fact that there were so many people around me, so many conversations taking place and so many people asking me questions that it was just hard to focus on the game at some points. I’ll rewatch it this week and soak in every play.
I do think we could see another two or three Super Bowl games in our future over the next 5-6 years. If we can win one or two more in that time, this team will be talked about as dynasty too. Hell we were a Jalen Hurts fumble and Bradberry hold away from picking up #3 last night! The future is bright for this team as long as Howie keeps working his magic in the offseason!Official Driver of the Eagles Bandwagon!!!

Agree with everything that has been said. This team from top to bottom, including the coaches, is the best Eagles team ever and probably should be discussed as one of the greatest of all time.period.
I was still nervous until they went up 34-0 with that beautiful throw to Devonta. Once Mahomes gets his confidence going, they can score quickly.
Still slightly annoyed they let KC score those garbage TD's late. 40-6 is much more appropriate the way the D played for 3 quarters. Nick gifted them that last TD buy not punting the ball with the backups in.
The first SB win was nerve racking and a big relief. I was downright giddy and proud last night.

Fully agreed, though I don't have quite the 65 years. The roster is insane. I think we knew the offensive side was insane to begin with, though could not forsee Jurgens being Pro Bowl right away so even that wasn't much of a weak link. In the end, they could run the ball so effectively they changed Hurts into a game manager, even though we were certainly capable of throwing the ball around with those WRs. Simply no need to risk even a slightly dangerous throw though, with everything else working.
The defensive side stunned me -- all three levels. Slay has been good if slowly declining, but rookies sometimes take a while to be good at CB. To fix that with two draft picks, is amazing. We went from a badly-coached Bradberry playing awful to one of the better corners in the league. And a badly-coached Maddox playing badly last year (or more often just injured) to DeJean, who was also awesome. Linebacker was a black hole last year, and we turned up an All-Pro (Baun) out of nowhere, Dean improved dramatically, and even Burks was better than what we had last year. And Fangio seemed fine with Trotter too. On the line, was pretty sure Sweat and Carter and BG would bounce back, but Nolan Smith's improvement, and Hunt as well, was amazing. No weak links anywhere, with CJGJ and Blank providing good safety play. Huff is the only mystery there and it ended up not hurting, other than future cap.
Especially on the offensive side, all those guys played selflessly and allowed other players a lot of the glory. Not nearly enough passes to go around, but they were there when needed. I think that, specifically, is Sirianni setting up that culture and getting buy-in.

I think we also have to give a lot of credit to Saquon. Not only were his runs the game changer in several instances, but the example he set in the locker room. He was a superstar showing everyone the effort that is needed to be champions. We were a very good team. Saquon put us over the top.

All very good points. The selflessness of AJ Brown and Devonta Smith probably surprised me more than anything. WRs don’t come with that gene. They generally want, want, want. I know they both want (esp Brown) but both accepted their role.Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
Hope is not a strategy

Hi Guys
Have not been posting for a while but I had to after yesterday
That was one of the most dominant performances by an Eagle team I have ever seen. I am just thrilled that we played so well on both sides of the ball and we are set up really well for the future. This is a very young team and while we may lose some talented people the core will be back. So hard to compare to 2018 as that was our first, and you never forget your first. That game was a cardiac game and it went down to the last play. When we were up 24-0 I felt really good but still wanted some more points. At 34-0 it was over.
This season had so many twists and turns, starting out 2-2 and looking not to great against Cleveland and NY. I think the Cincinati game was when we first started to really play well and it looked like we could have a great year. But still I thought Detroit was better and that would be a tough game. Thanks to Washington for taking care of them.
I felt really good going into the game and they exceeded all of my expectations. I am just thrilled to have seen Super Bowl #2
As I said when I picked my name, this is our century. Took a while to get here but buckle up and hold on.
