Random Super Bowl thoughts

• I’m so happy for Jalen. All the haters got morning to say now. His dagger to Smitty was a huge FU moment.
• im so happy for Saquon. He played the Walter Payton role in the SB and he now has a ring.
• how about Maddox who came up huge on the 4th down play?
• Mahomes was so shook he forgot to beg for a (deserved) penalty when Carter hit him in the head on the strip sack.
• I heard Nick talk about how Dejean has played in giant games before at Iowa as a matter of perspective. Birthday boy came up huge.

• Would have loved to see Saquon get a TD, both for him and to cement the Super Bowl legend of both birthday boys getting a TD.
• LOVED that it was basically a home game for the Eagles. Talking to people who were at the game, the Eagles crowd was even louder than we heard on TV.

Yeah I would’ve loved to see Saquon get a TD in the end too.

A couple more thoughts.

• this reminded me of the Villanova championship against Michigan. We were clearly the better team and showed it.
• This defense was as good as the 85 Bears. Buddy and Bud would’ve been proud.

Haven’t heard anyone say it but I really liked that Moore stuck with the run as much as he did. Historically he would have started throwing the ball, and if they fell behind maybe he would have, but keeping the ball in Saquan’s hands even though he wasn’t getting yards made KC stick with selling out to stop the run.
I also wish Saquan could’ve scored. He deserved it for the year he had.

Nick Siriani apology. I was calling for his head last year. I was dead wrong. Dude delivered a Lombardi. And while I’m not gonna get greedy, he has a chance to deliver more.

When Jeff first bought the team he did say he planned on winning Super Bowls. Of course he didn't realize at the time it's almost impossible to win one and he's now actually got the plural form of bowl.
