I liked him at Boise State but didn’t think he was much at Dallas. I think he was good but not great by any means with the birds. I just can’t see NO being a good move for him. He is pretty young, going to a team with few resources. I think a couple years here would’ve been good for him.

There is so much more than X's and O's to be a head coach. I think it's more how you relate to players, your assistant coaches and organizing your team to succeed on game day. Ultimately it's your personality and presence that determines if you are able to lead men.

Ditto Eagle60. It takes organizational and people skills to be a HC, while coordinators may just be skilled with designing plays or defenses.
Moore is still young. We'll see if he has the organizational and motivational skills to be a HC.
I think Fangio earned more respect from his players than Moore did. At least I don't remember seeing any offensive players praising Moore the way defensive players lauded Fangio.
In any case, being a coordinator is a lot different than being a head coach. And some coaches like Fangio and Stoutland are better suited as coordinators.
Sirianni has proved that he is highly dependent on his coordinators. His best qualities are as a organizer and motivator. This season, we had the perfect combination of head coach and coordinators. A few things I found out yesterday talking to my buddy who writes for the Buffalo paper. He was talking to Alex Halaby our assistant GM when he was at the Super Bowl.
Kellen was the guy 10 days ago. It was a poorly kept secret. Moore had to go now because of what happened to Bobby Slowik. He passed on some opportunities last year and now he is out of a job. He will be rehired but if you want that HC job you have to go when the time comes. KM I think got or will get maybe 4-5 years and $6-$7 million a year. That is guaranteed money and it is life changing. Plus New Orleans is a mess so he is going to get 3 years to rebuild it. They have to move on from Carr. It is going to get worse before it gets better.
Frank Reich is definitely on the table for the Eagles. They are using Vic as a blueprint. They are tired of starting over every year. You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

Yeah it was kind of interesting -- Johnson stayed with the Lions and it worked out well, whereas Slowik stayed and it didn't.
I just don't know how much hope there is for that Saints job. They likely need to have a miserable year to get out of that cap situation. Unless Moore actually does like Carr, not sure what they will do at QB. Just seems the odds would be better almost anywhere else. I was worried about Dallas being a destination for him, but didn't think he'd go for the Saints at all. I imagine Mike McCarthy was pretty sure he'd get that job if was turning down the Cowboys.
Unsure if Sirianni would prefer his old mentor in Reich or Patullo. Maybe they could have Patullo as OC and Reich taking Patullo's job, ready to step in if there are issues (or *he* gets another job in a year).

being reported that the Saints want Patullo as OCWe're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

I have to give Moore credit. He handled this situation 100 times better than Gannon did. Gannon couldn’t leave fast enough to take over at AZ. I realize winning brings a different attitude but Gannon seemed like he checked out before the SB and was going through the motions.Official Driver of the Eagles Bandwagon!!!
