We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. Hell, he should have given each one of them a car.
    "Hey Giants, who's your Daddy?"

This is awesome. I did hear it was a promotion from Bud Light and he offered to pay for it but Bud Light said no.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

It was Bud Light, is the only problem. Though that much volume the point probably isn't to savor it...

I liked Barkley when he was at Penn State. I still liked as a person when he was with the Gnats. Now I REALLY like/admire him as a person and as an Eagle. He's a good dude. He took Siriani's decsision to rest him the last game like a gentleman and a team first guy, even though it prevented him from VERY LIKELY settngng a new all time record for rushing yards in a season.

                He’ll beat it this year

The cool thing is though, he *did* set the record. He ended breaking the regular season plus playoff record, going above 2500 yards. Terrell Davis had that before. So his name is now on top of that list, and people will remember he could likely have broken the regular season one if he (and the team) had so chosen. If the Eagles had a bye week in the playoffs, they might well have tried.

Barkley also gave up a 74 yard TD or so when he slid down against the Packers at the end of that game. Could have at least had another 60 yards before sliding if he still wanted to slide and end the game there.

There was another game, I think against the gnats where he could set his personal best or something, and Nick asked him if he wanted the record or if he wanted to get pulled with the rest of the starters. Barkley said let the young ones eat.
If he would’ve stayed in at that time his numbers would’ve been higher and maybe broke the record. So there were at least three times where he could’ve easily added to his total

Seriously who cares? Do you really think he does? He's just happy he's not on that crappy Giants team and instead has a Super Bowl ring on his finger.

I absolutely believe the ring means more. They don’t have a big ass parade like I watched today for the guy with the record. I also don’t think he begrudges sitting out the last game. However, I fully believe he would like to have that record. He will especially wish he had it when he is older. The irritating part for him will be the plays where he looks at the film and thinks he should’ve gotten more yards.
