FWIW, there is no way IMO an active NFL player would be connected with something like this. Still, it is a bit, uh..curious.

PLANO, Texas (AP) - "A convicted steroids dealer who recently met with NFL security officials and gave them names of players he said bought steroids from him was found shot to death in his home Thursday, police said..."

This man, who was found carrying a large carton from Jacob's home, denied ANY knowledge of the incident and claimed the steroids in the cartoon and the 500 vials of human growth hormone found in his car were all for his wife.

Just sayin'. It's happened before, it'll happen again. Ray Lewis, Rae Carruth. Both were involved in an action in which somebody was killed. While Lewis was found not guilty, Carruth is serving out an 18-24 year term.

The threat of somebody screwing with your livelihood might be enough initiative for somebody. The fact that contracts nowadays are regularly in the tens of millions of dollars, nothing would surprise me.

True, PhillyJack. While it may seem far-out, it is not outside the realm of possibility.

Don't forget Leonard Little. I know they called it manslaughter, but to me drunk driving and killing someone is tantamount to 2nd degree murder.
