"Eagles president Joe Banner reiterated yesterday that getting all the draftees signed by training camp, with the Eagles opening a week earlier than usual, on July 20, because of their participation in the Aug. 6 Hall of Fame Game, is "going to be a challenge.'' But Banner said no significant problems have emerged with any agents yet."
Need to keep this in mind, as it really does put tremendous pressure on the FO to sign these guys with a week less to work with. Usually signings start to fall in line with other signings,, but this time they have a week less for others to set the salary scales.
" Banner said he and Reid need to sit down and discuss when they want to open contract discussions with starting safeties Brian Dawkins and Mike Lewis."
So obviously they haven't even decided how to proceed here yet.... could be now, could be during the season, could be after the season.... just hope they let Dawk know which way they are going to proceed.
