A wasted top draft pick there. McNab, if he's not hurting too bad, has to be laughing his ass off over that one.

Or perhaps not. COuld have been used on another weapon.

Maybe Carolina would be interested in him (Kolb) after the latest offering from the Jake Delhomme Experience?

It is my hope that Kolb can produce for the Eagles. Fingers crossed?

You know, there is this part of me that whispers.....he can't POSSIBLY be as bad as he looks. Right??? It's some sort of fluke.......right???

When a guy has 1 glaring weakness, but other aspects of his game look solid then I believe there is hope. Kolb throws a very catchable ball, has the arm strength of an NFL quarterback and understands the game. His complete and utter lack of pocket presence at the moment makes him look feeble, but every young QB with the exception of Manning and Marino and Brady starts out that way. McNabb looked just as bad when he first started. The problem is that we need Kolb to get it together in less than a week. I hope a week with the 1's is enough time.

You know what, if his pocket presence is this bad, then AR and Marty need to do what they did for AJ Feeley, and the same thing that Harbaugh/Cameron of the Ravens did for Joe Flacco: lean harder on the run game and the defense while the kid figures it out.

How did our OL look today? I didn't see much of the game.....sounds like it was all right at least. If our OL can't block well enough, it won't matter if we lean more on passing or running.

the game appears to move to fast for him. he thinks he is back in conference usa. 2 times today i'm thinking... "dude you have to know the rush is coming." you don't have all day back there. make a decision and get rid of it.

he is 6-2 220 though so he obviously has the physical skills.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

His H.S. coach was also his coach at Houston. 8 years in a shotgun/spread offense might be a harder habit to break in just one or two seasons as a pro.

The guy has no arm, at best you have Pennington/Garcia. He isn't going to be the next Montana.

I am just amazed at his lack of poise in the pocket. It just seems as though he is afraid which is not a good trait for a qb. He seems to panic so quickly he never has any chance to look at any route other than the TE or a dump to the rb.

He averaged 3 yards per completed pass yesterday. I agree, he is certainly not surveying the field very well. No one is going to be scared of his downfield threat. Our best bet is going to be to lean on the runing game. But with him at QB, the defense is just going to be parked in the box waiting for us.

I wanted to give him a chance but he just looks so overmatched. He's just terrible. I am scared to death every time he drops back. That's a bad sign. I have more faith in AJ Feeley.
