  • Sal Pal: Eagles-Dolphins discussing #12 pick

    Per RotoWorld...

ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reports the Eagles are talking to the Dolphins about trading up to No. 12 overall. Sal Pal has strong ties to the Eagles organization, and he's stationed in Philadelphia on Thursday. His report, consistent with others coming out of Eagles camp, suggests the team is targeting Texas S Earl Thomas.

He probably read the Peter King blurb from last week and is regurgitating it.

I can't remember the last time that he was right about anything. I see his face and I just don't listen anymore.

According to Eckel the chart value of picks 24 and 37 is pick 10 (Jax). Picks 24 and 55 are combined worth 14 (Sea). 24, 55 and one of the 3's are worth pick 11 (Den)

Some people are saying the top 50 picks are = to first rounders. With 24,37 equaling first rounders, that would make 55 equivalent to an early second. I like my chances of hitting a HR with 3 picks, not by trading 3 picks to move up. Might just be me,but bringing in a guy like Savage for what is being called the best draft in 15 years, you let him work his magic.I could care less if we don't have the roster spots to carry everyone.I don't want to see easy decisions on cutdown day .Make everyone on the roster uneasy, bring in the talent.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.
