Sixers re-sign surprising Randolph; summer league on tap

PHILADELPHIA -- Shavlik Randolph re-signed with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday after a surprising rookie season in which the undrafted forward provided a needed spark off the bench.
Randolph will participate in the Sixers' Rocky Mountain Revue Summer League starting Friday in Salt Lake City.
The 6-foot-10, 240-pound Randolph averaged 2.3 points and 2.3 rebounds in 8.5 minutes in 57 games. Randolph wasn't drafted after a three-year career at Duke and originally signed with the Sixers as a free agent last summer.
