  • Giants fans extend well to Birds on their new player!

Having lived in Giants' country for the past 30+ years, I like to check in with the loyal opposition when the Eagles do something that Gnat fans find particularly painful. They NEVER disappoint!

Here are some of the more delicious posts from today's BBI following the Aso signing announcement accompanied by my guess at each guys' age and occupation:

    (36 yo accountant)
RasputinPrime : 6:18 pm they should be audited because how they manage to sign whomever they want is beyond me.

(53 yo member of the clergy)
GMenLTS : 6:16 pm god I hate that cocksucking shitstain of a franchise

(45 yo cartographer who believes Earth is flat)
    NYerInMA : 6:18 pm
Well, it will be fun watching Eli torch him this fall. He's not in the AFC West anymore!

(22 yo full time barista/amatuer philosopher - life gives him lemons, he makes lemonade)
mjvm52106 : 6:22 pm Nnamdi isnt or hasn't been much of interceptor in the past. Yes, teams avoided him but he also displayed Will Allen hands from time to time too.

(41 yo, unemployed, lives with parents - Too fucking stupid to hold any job)

GiantFanInTX : 6:23 pm Come on guys This is Jerry Jones and Daniel Snyder style team building. They are also mortagaing their franchise to win NOW. Our blue collar, lunch pail crew will still thump them. Just wait and see.

    And finally...

(39 fireman who actually goes to Giant's games)
Rflairr : 6:25 pm Oh please. I hear that bullshit every offseason on this board about how the Eagles LBs are terrible. yet they always manage to kick our ass up and down the field.

Glazer just reported that Dallas was never seriously in it, and that they knew Philly was in it. They were allowing themselves to be used as a smoke screen. Glaze also said that both Jerry and Stephen were fist pumping shortly before the announcement. Something is going on and I am not so certain that the Asmougha deal wasn't a show to disguise it.

I've seen what Miles can do to Asmougha and I know Dez can handle DRC. Asante is out the door, and I really can't see anyone trading for him when teams know he'll be released, especially when you figure what he's making salary wise. Not saying Dallas wants him for the simple fact Ryan likes a lot of bump and run and man coverage, and we all know Asante loves the zone scheme and jumping routes. Maybe they are after Cromartie?? Especially when you figure that Cromartie abd Asmougha share the same agent. Yet Dallas allowed themselves to be used as a smoke screen? You figure Cro's ego is probably hurt by this from the Jets end of it??? I've learned a long time ago never to under estimate JJ, especially when you consider the fact that everyone now knows that Cro plays well in the Ryan scheme.

I could see the Eagles trading Assante, but there is zero chance he gets cut.

ugghh. I bet that asswipe user named "Landrys Hat" is the same kind of delusional Cowboy fan that throws out the "we won 5 super bowls" comment whenever their recent football success is brought to light.

Smoke screen my ass. JJ would be creaming his pants right now if he had signed Asmougha.

The younger generation of Cowboy fans seem to respect and even fear the Eagles. But, many of that older generation is still living in the early 90's (if not the late 70's). These older fans are completely delusional when it comes to anything the Cowboys and/or ownership does.

Haven't the Eagles beaten the Giants the last 6 times they've played (5 regular season games and 1 playoff game)?

          Oh yeah, there's this too:

IMo Coughlin deserves the moniker of ferret far more than Howie. By the way, they are Giant and Cowboy fans. FUCK EM
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Is that kicker Dodge still with the Giants?

Yes. They just signed someone else to compete with him, as every team does. Dodge is a decent punter...but he was a rookie. Beware the rookie punter. I and all the rest of us have watched that video over and over and over again. Let's just hope we're not on the receiving end of that this year thanks to OUR rookie punter.

                          Eagles are trying giantsfan39 : 5:47 pm
to buy a Superbowl. Very few of their best players and starters will be players they drafted. Even Babin left and was signed as a free agent. THey do not deserve to win a Superbowl.

the best part about that is the Eagles do no deserve to win a Super Bowl.

Why, because we are a well run franchise without a bunch of Osi, Plax, Tiki, head cases.

If there is a team in pro sports that deserves to win a title it is the Birds.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.
