  • 2nd place in the division & the conference

Well - not really in the conference but we're tied for the 2nd most points. This is with the Pronger issue, Bryz sucking ass for most of the season and Giroux and Jagr going through a bad scoring drought. I'm liking what I'm seeing. Hopefully we don't have to give up the farm to get another top defenseman. If Bryz can get hot (which the last two games are encouraging), we have a shot. It's more the mental thing with Boston & NYR and whether we can overcome the mentality we have with those two squads.

I hate that we brought in a guy for 9 Mil (?) per and we have a goalie issue.

This team is fun to watch though. the Wells Fargo center is gonna be jumpin this spring.

What makes them fun to watch in the regular season will hurt them in the playoffs. The forwards do not give enough defensive cover and the d-men are hung out to dry too much.

I do love this group, though. Would like to see them make a nice run in the playoffs, but Boston is just too strong overall in the East. And the Rangers with that great d and goaltending are a notch better as well right now.
Don't kid yourself Jimmy. If a cow ever got the chance, he'd kill you and everyone you cared about!

I feel like too often we've clearly been the best team in the conference and get nowhere. I wouldn't mind being the 3rd seed that gets REALLY hot for the last 10 games of the regular season. (Although now that I think about it, the last SCF we were a 7th seed?)

I agree LT- But I do like this team, maybe b/c I have no expectations and realize they are young. It does help that Carter and Richards are off the team. Losing Pronger hurt and I dont know if there are D-man out there at the deadline, but I dont like the idea of giving up Shenn/Reid/Courterier
