Think the Jags, browns, chiefs and raiders have to win some more. Now, if the Eagles did end up with that pick, do you think they should trade down for multiple picks in the top rounds?

I am trading down. This is not a good draft to have a concensus number 1. I don't know that the top 5 are interchangable.

The only way you can trade down is if someone wants it.

Tiebreakers in draft order for teams with the same record are based on strength of schedule. The Eagles actually are in a good spot with that because they play in a weak division, played a so-so division (NFC South) in the intra-conference rotation, and played the current last-place teams in the other two NFC divisions for their two non-common opponents (Arizona and Detroit). They are hurt by having played the AFC North (which is a collective 6 games above .500 right now).

Guys to me it is not about the 1. If you pick 2 or 10 you are likely to get the best player at his position if it is ol, db, or dl. The big thing is to pick in the low 30s in round 2.

            Andy dalton
            Bruce carter
            Colin kapernack (sp??)
            Gronkowski
            Daryl washington
            Delmas
            Laurenutis
            Maluaga

Were all high 2s. I know nate allen and winston justice were also but those picks tend to pan out.

Right. The key here is you get a low 30's and low 60's pick.

I haven't been around a lot, so I imagine that you've discussed this: but this team is so close to having been 0-12. Those slimmest of margin wins were so long ago, it's easy to forget how lucky they were to win any of them.

                    Good point saratoga.

The other way to get a lot of picks is take an aging DE and trade him to the Raiders for a bunch of great picks. But Al Davis is dead so that probably is out.

DeSean was late 2's. And they actually picked Trevor Laws in front of him in round 2.

All other teams thought he was a gangster thug selfish player.

                      Go figure.

                        Wasn't Westy a high 2?

                        Also, Bobby Taylor? Michael Lewis?

Westy was a 3rd round pick,

Taylor was the 50th pick in the draft which was about half way through round 2

                            Michael Lewis was pick 58
Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

Brian Dawkins was picked near the very end of the 2nd round in 1996.

Where you pick in the draft isn't nearly as important as who you pick in the draft IMO. There are a lot of good NFL players who were picked in a late round in the draft or were originally undrafted free agents. Make sure you pick guys who can be good or solid contributors, regardless where you are picking in the draft.
