  • 12/23/12 Redskins @ Eagles Week #16 GDT

TE Clay Harbor placed on IR with a lower back injury. No one added to 53 man roster yet.

Anyone hear anything about Celek? I assume he's not ready to come back this week. If so......ummmmmm, no real TE this week?

This season's injuries are unbelievable. I hope everyone (esp. Peters) stays in contact with the training staff during the off season to make sure they are ready for TC next summer.

Bit of a shocker...on the other hand, not really...Kurt Coleman is healthy enough to play this week, and he'll be stepping in for NATE ALLEN. So Coleman and Anderson will be our starting safeties to close out the year.

Havili probably won't play Sunday, so no real FB, and no real TE's either if Celek can't go.

So Reid says Igwenagu will be the team's starting TE, and Chris Polk is taking first team reps as the FB.

              Ummmm....wow. What a year.

I have a couple of goals for this game:
                No serious injuries
Progress and experience from the youth (e.g. Brown & Foles)
I do not want them to roll over however like other teams this past weekend. Play a good game with the people they have. I do want and expect a loss.

Eagles signed TE Evan Moore, Stanford, who was with Seattle and was recently released. If he passes his physical tomorrow, he'll be added to the 53 man roster.

Coleman over Allen? WTF did Allen do? Get caught in a 3 some with Luri's wife and girlfriend? Coleman has pretty much proven that he has a big heart but sucks this year. This seems strange to me.

The Eagles are 5-1/2 point underdogs Sunday. That's the largest home game spread against them since Week #16 of 2005.

Apparently Celek will play Sunday. Dave Spadaro said Moore will actually back-up Celek. He does have NFL experience, so it makes sense. In his career he's caught 63 passes for 810 yards and 5 TDs in 47 games.
