  • I watched Seattle and Minnesota last night

Big mistake. Both defenses just flew to the ball. It made me realize just how far that we have to go.

The Eagles defense doesn't fly to the ball? Sure looked like they did to me last night and even last week. 7 interceptions is being around the ball. They actually realize there is a stat called pass breakups this year. The defense they are playing is so much better than the Billy Davis read and don't react stuff.
Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

They sure do taz. I guess the whole game just was more hard hitting and faster. You can just tell both those teams are deep and very good.

No doubt they are deeper. They both are further along in the rebuild/build process than we are. I don't know if everybody truly understands just how badly Chip Kelly hurt this roster. Well maybe Howie and Doug do thus they are taking chances on guys like DGB. This is going to take some time to get the depth possible. I like the starters for the most part on defense and if they stay healthy I think we are going to be happy with our defense this year. The Depth on offense and lack of true play makers like DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy and Jeremy Maclin is evident.

Yup, he just kept bringing in guys that he could control from Oregon. It worked for awhile but the rest of the league caught up with him. SF put up over 300 yards in the first half last week. In the 2md half the other team just ran a few blitzes and overpowered them and clobbered the 49ers in the backfield. Been there done that. Wouldn't be surprised if they pick first in the next draft.

Did the Dallas game bother you as much as Seattle?

Be just killer if Dallas got the better qb....in the 3rd round. I might just have to pull a Fight Club, and punch myself in the face.

I didn't see the game Fresh, but I'm sure that we got the better QB. Our receivers couldn't catch 18 out of 24 in a bean bag toss.

It is sad seeing all the drops. I can find HS kids who will catch 8 of 10 on their worst days and these guys are getting paid a ton of money and can't look the ball into their hands. The one dop the other night was as if the WR was using one of his hands and someone else was in control of the other
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

I read someplace that DGB dropped the other pass thrown to him other than the fade in the end zone and the author made a big deal out of it. I don't think that even happened because that would be headlines everyplace if it did. Did anybody see it???

Yes, I saw it. There is the distinct possibility that DGB may make Nelson Agholor look like Jerry Rice!

Wow, you guys are tough, I don't think you're being fair. I saw the play too and it was another bad throw. He could have caught it - probably should have, but it was a poorly thrown ball. Based on him having all of 2 days to learn the system, meet his teammates - especially the new QBs, and having very little time to work with them, I'm not going to hold it against the guy just because he didn't catch two poorly thrown balls. He wasn't supposed to play this week because he has so little time on the team. The coaches liked what they saw in the limited practice time and decided to put him in for a limited role.

If he has his head on straight he and Wentz could be special together. Let's see how the two of them look together instead of him and 77 passes in 6 years, Chase Daniels.

(Side note: I was shocked when I heardDaniels has been in the league since 2009! Honestly I don't think I ever heard of him before we signed him. 6 years in the league and he has only thrown 77 passes? That's just two games worth of passes over a long period. I haven't had time this offseason to dig too deeply into the Eagles moves, but I thought Daniels was in his 3rd year and didn't get much opportunity, or was sidelined by injuries etc.. 6 years, 77 passes and a $21 million contract is mind blowing! If I ever get an NFL contract, I want his agent to negotiate the deal for me!)

I remember him lighting it up at Missouri in college and assumed that he'd be a high pick and he didn't even get drafted. I'm not sure that he ever got a real shot to play though. Anyway, college is obviously a whole different ballgame.

He is not big enough or strong enough really to be an everyday QB in the league. However, he is kind of the perfect backup. Even the fans can see his obvious shortcomings and so there won't be a lot of people asking for him to replace Sam. But he could come in and play a game and not lose it for you if necessary.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.
