    And he sucked last year

Adams ain't happening for us, but I definitely see us taking a safety within the first 4 rounds/5 picks

Jamal Adams will not make it out of the top 5 and if by some chance he is there at 14 you run to the podium and draft him.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

Howie would have his afterburners firing!

hard to say how bad the S were, when the CBs were totally horrid
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

If Adams makes it to 14 they should run the card up to the comish. There is going to be a top10 guy who falls to 14, I think its going to be Foster. The question is do you take Foster and screw with Hicks?(who is a damn good middle linebacker) Going to be interesting. I would bet if Foster is there they trade out and get some good value for 14.

I would take Foster in a heartbeat taz for the same reason that I like Peppers. As good as Hicks is he still doesn't dominate the run game like you would like a MLB to do. His strength is really his pass defense, at least that is how I see it but I don't watch him on every play. It seems to me he would be a great OLB but I don't know if he's had any experience there. That would keep us out of the nickel all of the time. Why would you not want a top 10 player? It's not like we're SB contenders this year. We need as much talent as we can get and if any of the top guys come to us I thing that we should take them. I would hate to move back and Howie claims that he wants impact guys. That doesn't sound like a guy moving backwards.. We've moved up in the first round much more than down in the past.

If somehow they could get Foster I'd be Ok with that too. Sure tackler and super instinctive. It would necessitate getting bigger at safety though IMO because Foster is a bit undersized to be a true Mike and I might suggest some additional size to put around the LOS.

I thought I remembered Hicks playing outside some when I watched his highlight video

I think he can play outside some, but I wouldn't count on him being as good as he is inside. For the fact that he is a cowboy killer alone I wouldn't mess with him. Foster is damn good and probably will have a slightly better career than Hicks. Seems like to me for as much as we say take the best available player, taking Foster is a luxury for a team with no corners and is suspect at so many other areas. To me the value to the Eagles would be trade back a few spots and let another team take Foster, still get an impact player at say 19 and pick up something else.

Then there is always the problem of Nigel Bradham getting suspended.

If you want to win this year, LB isn't a big priority like CB, but if you are willing to go BPA and possibly not get a stud CB and not win big this year, I'll take Foster and run him with Hicks and Bradshaw and continue with the build.
