  • Assistant coaching staff numbers?

The Eagles have 20 coaches on the roster. 20! With all of those coaches they only have 1 offensive line coach. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Not sure why you would say that 60. They only have one LB coach, one D Line coach, etc. There are some assistants in various places. A guy named Chung is ass't OL coach, a guy named Peelle is TE coach. And I am sure the O linemen work with the two strength and conditioning guys a lot. And they have two offensive quality control guys who basically help the OC
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy

Thanks for correcting me ND. I knew about the TE coach but didn't know about the assistant line coach. I'd like to add some position coaches rather than the quality control guys who are basically interns though.

yea I am sure they save a buck with those QC guys but that is also a way for some guys to get a little experience and try to break in. I think Duce might have started out as a QC guy. I also remember Andy giving a former player or two an opportunity by making him a quality control coach. I wonder if they have a guy or two or ten who aren't listed as coaches who help out in camp. Someone like a former OLineman that they can't hire but wants to get a little exposure

Hey, you have to start somewhere. Charlie Casserly was a decent high school coach a couple of towns over from me in the 80's and resigned to work for the Redskins for the bagel doing who knows what? 10 years later he was the Redskins GM! Holy crap. Then there's Howie. Which one is the bigger Horacio Alger story?
