We'll see. He is intriguing but probably not quite ready for prime time. I don't know 60; you seem to have a thing against Burton but I see him as a #3 TE and as a #3 TE I don't think he is bad at all. But #3s are always looking behind them because they are generally pretty replaceable
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy
    RIP

Call me crazy but I like Trey Burton. He's a solid special teams player and I don't ever remember him dropping a ball or making a huge mistake. Every team needs some Trey Burton types.
      Canada's #1 Eagles fan.

I guess that I do ND. He makes just as many bad plays as he does good ones. I think the thing that really made me take notice is when the Birds gave him a transition tag with a #2 with it. WTF??? Who is going to give you a 2 for Burton? Hell, who is going to give you a 5? Then for some reason the Eagles offer him a multiyear deal which he thankfully turned down. What is a 3rd team TE who is a good ST player make these days? Everybody but me sees him as Celek's replacement like it's etched in stone. Why? I just don't see it. He's just another inconsistent run of the mill guy like most of the receivers that we had last year. I don't think this rugby guy is going to just come in and set the league on fire, but snatching a fat round rugby ball out of the air between 2 players running full speed with a one hand backhand ala Beckum was sure some kind of play.

And he made that catch with his bare hand, not those stickum receiver gloves that these guys wear these days.

Word out of training camp is with zero NFL experience and despite his massive size, he is #3 on the CB depth chart
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Seriously though, he might beat out one of our high priced STers like Braman who doesn't see the field on O or D
