Take the Birds on Sunday I just can't do it. Arrowhead is a really tough place to play & with KC favored by 5.5, I think they cover, We'll all be watching & pulling for the Birds but deep down, I'm just hoping we can stay competitive on Sunday. Go figure, just when my expectations are Zero, we'll play lights out but then I wake up! KC wins 27-17.
    GO BIRDS!!!
Just give me ONE before I go!

The Chiefs are a tough team that should be making a serious run at the super bowl. We're still rebuilding. I want to win it but the reality is that we aren't likely to do that. If the Eagles can limit the penalties and protect Wentz then it's all good. Everyone comes out healthy and we don't make stupid mistakes then I'll be happy even if we lose the game.

Eh, any given Sunday. I'm all on that KC is high right now and Andy has himself a quality team. The birds have holes here and there. Keep it close and you never know what happens. That said I'm pulling for the birds this week even though I know they aren't going 19-0
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy

We have a good team and expect them to play well and win. Screw KC and let's not get anybody hurt. I'm realistic about our chances but the only thing moral victories get you is an early draft pick next year.

I'm ok with a loss here. I'd much rather lose this week and trounce the Giants.
We need to take care of division games this year.

Realistically that is fine but if the team feels that way we might as well pack in the season. Winning is everything. We're not playing the HOF Sunday.

I'm not saying I want the team to have that attitude. It would be great if we can win them all.
I'm just saying I'm personally fine with a week 2 loss at KC because it probably won't hurt our playoff chances. To make the playoffs we probably have to win the division, which means going at least 4-2 in the division.

Last year, we beat Pittsburgh 34-3 in week 3 which was great at the time but I'd much rather have beaten the Cowboys in the Sunday night game when we were playing for first place.

Now, when we play the Raiders at the end of the season, I'll probably have a different attitude, because that will probably be a "measuring stick" game going into the playoffs.

If we really are a play off team then we can win Sunday. Maybe NE isn't as good as everybody thinks they are. KC has been reading that they are the shit for over a week now and we'll catch them right. As long as things don't snowball we have a good chance. NFL games come down to the last possession most games and there's no reason why we can't come up big. If we can't run the ball again I'll really be disappointed. It seems that we can never move the ball well against 3-4's. It's not all Kelce's fault either.

Absolutely they could win and absolutely they should go into this game thinking they will win. But a loss to a good team happens once in awhile. I can't bring myself to accept a loss even if it impacts draft position so I damn sure don't want to see a loss but I'm old enough to know 19-0 doesn't come along very often

This is the recipe for winning a Super Bowl:
                    1. Make the playoffs (preferably with a first round bye)
                    Once that is accomplished:
                    2. Avoid injuries to key positions. Especially o-line.
                    3. QB gets hot.
                    And/Or
                    4. D gets hot.

To me, that's about it. Except if you're the Patriots it would also include cheating and having opposing coaches give the game to you.

Losing to KC is fine as long as Wentz continues to improve and we stay healthy at key spots.

Guys as you know I live here in KC.

These fans are riding high right now. They think they beat the best team in the league last week in the other team's gym. I've had a couple people tell me the Birds have no chance.

I really love Andy forcwhat he did for the franchise and the Chefs are a good group of guys. But I really, REALLY hope we shock the world here. I think we have a great chance.

The Chefs are not athletic at all at the LB position and minus Berry they are very average at safety. The key is gonna be keeping Justin Houston in check and not giving up the big play to Hill.

The Chefs OL is not great guys. It's really pretty poor at OT especially. Brandon Graham and Fletch could have a field day. And Kelce gets all the hype but he really is not Ertz or Jimmy Graham like. He is pretty stiff.

If the Birds don't turn it over I really like our chances. Have to hang in for the 1q to get past the emotion and get the crowd thinking uh oh. Chefs fans will start sitting on their hands.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

I know that we'll hang with them in the first half. I also know when that crowd gets into it after a score we'll be fighting an uphill battle.

There is so much working against us in this one:

Andy Reid's record with extra time to prepare is something like 20-2.
Playing in KC, one of the toughest road games in the NFL.
No Darby, which won't help keeping Hill in check.
Rookie kicker is a big ????

If we want to hang with them we will need to have a run game.

I read where KC had trouble stopping the run last year and that's why they went after Benny Logan. We just don't block well against the 3-4 and it's a problem and it's not just Kelce. The only success that we had against it last week were with trap plays. Without a FB asking a center to take a nose man by himself is tough if you're running right at that LBer up the middle. The only way that you might do it would be the center folding with the onside guard. That's kind of a lot to ask too.
