From PFT: Eagles are on top of the NFC, and their schedule gets easier

    LINK: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...e-gets-easier/

It was bound to happen after the Carolina win. Pederson and Schwartz had the lads focused and energized for their road game against the Panthers and they didn't let that puke fuck Morelli and his crew distract them.

They need to "welcome" the Skins to the Linc with the same focus and intensity.

Man it looks like we might need some chill pill prescriptions in the media. All I heard before the season was how tough the sched is. Now I will say I like where the birds are sitting but they still have Dallas twice, still have a stretch of 3 road games in a row, still have a west coast trip to Sea & LA.
SF should be a win. Wash will be tough but should be a win. Den will be a tough game but is winnable. Let's see where they sit then.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy
    RIP

We were 4-2 last year at this time. Let's pump the brakes a bit.

I agree. I think a lot of fans are getting way ahead of the schedule. However if we would go 5-5 that puts us at 10 wins. I think 6-4 is more likely so we should win the division with 11. And I know the wheels can come off in a hurry.

Injuries and lack of focus can change things in a hurry. Let's hope we can avoid both. Skins are a tough team. We need to take care of business after a long layoff.

I just hope the players don't see it that way. The Birds are a hungry bunch right now. It's only October. If we can stay healthy we can make some noise. In the meantime let's get fired up for Washington. There is no such thing as an easy game in the NFL.

I worry only about 1 game........ The next one. Then the next one.

Besides the injury factor, the weather, slumps, and other teams now having marked an X on our backs.......... One game at a time for me. Too much happens or can happen in every game and from week to week that while that sounds coach like, IMM that is the only way to look at it and keep your mind in one piece.

I just wish the deadskins had a tougher game this week and I hope they lose 3 starters with injury.

What’s crazy is we will get Darby back at some point.

And we didn’t have Lane Johnson

And we might get Sidney Jones back

And our starting MLB didn’t play 2/3 of the game and yet the defense didn’t seem to miss him.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

When his backup Kendricks has 17 tackles filling in for him I'm not too worried about it.

Presently drinking and drawing a blank, but I remember #54(Walker ?) in the game, who was he in for ? He seems to have good instincts and is around the ball when he is in the game. However I am not thrilled to see Goode in there in the redzone. Kendricks and Nigel have been studs, with Hicks healthy, that front 7 can be nasty. Keep them healthy and if we have Darby and Jones, a 6-7 deep secondary could be nasty as well. Loving the D right now.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

I think that you're talking about Hill. I think that he's going to be a good one.

GB loses Rodgers for the season, and their game to Minn.
ATL looks like complete crap, losing at home to Miami.

Right now, the Eagles are the only 5-1 team in the conference, which looks a bit more wide open than it did Sunday morning.

Pump the breaks, and one game at a time for sure, but did anyone really expect this?

Football games are determined so much on emotion. I'm just hoping that we're not peaking to early. KC and Denver just didn't come to play yesterday and the Steelers and Giants did. It's really tough to get fired up for a game 16 weeks in a row and we're going to have a few blanks too. Get ready for them. Sometimes you just have to win on talent alone like the Patriots are doing. They'll hit their stride soon enough (the bastards).
