  • Foles next week?

I think he needs to play at least a series or two after that performance today. In fact, I would all the offensive starters in the first quarter.

I think the starters should play the first half. Seeing as though you can only dress 53 and most of our starters play STs I don't know how you sit them all anyway. I guess that you can deactivate all the hurting guys. After that pathetic passing exhibition I think everybody needs the work. NOBODY could get open. I'd have Kelce just practice snaps for the entire 3 weeks because he had the same lousy snaps in the Ram game. I swear that this team needs another tring camp right now. They are saying the right things but Carson's injury took all the hope out of this team.

I think they need to play unless injured-- maybe someone like Mills who is nursing an issue. They need timing, they need flow. They'll get the next week off

I’d play the starters 3-4 series. Gotta erase the memory banks there. Then get Sudfield in there. Backup defenders from the start though.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

tell them to earn some time off, I would get Sidney Jones a bunch of reps and if he is as good as advertised, sit one of the CBs the second they bite on a double move.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Pederson has already announced that Foles will play next week--- just didn't say for how long.

I think the offense should play a series and then see how things are. If they produce then sit them. The following players should be inactive though. Mills, Bradham, Cox, Graham, Jenkins and Wisnewski.

Critical players. This should play out similar to the Eagles Dallas game at the end of last year. Prescott played two series then Homo and then Sanchez for most of the game

I think that they definitely need more work than that on offense taz. We scored on our first possession and then stunk the rest of the game. Give the a half anyway.

The only problem is that if you keep Nick in for a half, you need to keep the starting oline in as well, otherwise he could get killed. Then you expose Johnson, Brooks, and Kelce to injury.

They get exposed every day driving on the highway to work. Football players play football. They have two weeks off after the Dallas game to heal up.

Agree, can't play afraid of injury. They need a little work more than they need a little rest (other than a handful that are nursing i.e. Jones can easily replace Mills if okay), Ellerbe needs time also. Don't give a damn about Blount so he can play the whole game. etc

The offense needs work, obviously. I'm not concerned about the defense. They can rest whoever they want, and I don't think it will effect them. But, Nick needs reps. The problem with that is that he was clearly dinged up. He needs to be healthy more than he needs reps, so I don't know.

Honestly I would play all the offensive starters that aren’t nursing injuries for the entire game. Even with Carson as the QB the 10 day bye caused them to come out stiff and out of sync against Dallas. Having 2 weeks off and a new QB that they are still trying to get their timing with is a recipe for disaster in my opinion. They can’t afford to fall behind in the playoff games with Nick playing he way he is right now. I don’t know if it’s because he is feeling the pressure of trying to fill Wentz’s shoes or the pressure of carrying the Super Bowl expectations of the city, but he is not playing at the level he needs to be right now. 2 starts against weak teams and both took last minute heroics to earn a win. He needs to play to get his timing down with the entire offense. If he gets hurt it doesn’t really matter. I have zero expectations for them in the playoffs with him in right now. Playing and improving is our only hope to win a game or two when it matters.

The pass routes are so complex that I don't know how you learn this offense in a year or how you get rid of the ball under 3 seconds. It just reminds you what a treasure Wentz truely is. Nick should be better against Dallas. He's a hard worker and I'm sure that Flip is working with him as we speak. Sudfeld too. Flip is also very high on him.

As I said earlier the last time Foles played that bad everybody wanted to run him out of town and he threw 7 TDs the next week. I would hope that Doug scales things down a bit and lets Nick work with the plays that he's comfortable with. I expect that he will play better this week. On top of that Oakland played a great defensive game I thought. In many ways that was a good ol NFC East slugfest. Minnesota didn't exactly light up GB last week either. It was frustrating to watch but the team hung in there when they were facing certain defeat. Super play by Jenkins when Oakland was deep in out territory stripping the football. Big run play called back on a phantom hold by one of our receivers. It was one of the side judges who couldn't see Warmack jumping the gun on about 3 plays. WTF??? We'll play better this week.

I buy just about all of this... except I don't think the starters will play the whole game-- but I would like to see at least a half out pf them.
