  • AR receives a body blow.

For Andy Reid, and the many among us who would like to see him get the big prize, losing Kareem Hunt has got to be a punch to the gut.

No sympathy here AT ALL for Hunt but I do feel bad for AR.

This is why I respect Reid so much. The Chiefs heard about this incident at the start of the season and stood by Hunt. The video comes out and shows he lied to the team and they release him the same day for lying to them. The shitty part is that some asshole owner like Jones or Snyder will sign him. Imagine him and Zeke on the same team.....

Yup, he's not at the end of his career like Rice was. Look how fast the world forgot about that even BIGGER POS ADRIAN PETERSON who just announced in an interview that he had to "take the belt to him a couple of times again". Are you fucking kidding me!!!

Are you serious? He actually admitted publicly that he hit the child with a belt?

Never mind. Just Googled the question. Simply unreal? ”I had to discipline my son and spank him the other day with a belt,” Peterson says.

And where is the outrage? Where are the police? Better yet, where is the NFL???

I'm really dumbfounded that Peterson, who was cut a major break by being allowed to plead to a lessor crime after legitimately being charged with felony child abuse, 4 years later now feels free to admit that he continues to use a belt to discipline his child and we hear crickets from the NFL.

              WTF is that about?

Adrian Peterson Says He Still Spanks Son With Belt

Though news of Adrian Peterson using a "switch" on his son led to him being charged with felony child abuse, and missing all but one game back in 2014 (plus it also led to a guilty plea for a misdemeanor) the now-Redskins' running back admitted in a recent interview that he still spanks his son with a belt. This disclosure came in a Bleacher Report profile that was published on Wednesday. In it, he explains the tweaks he's made in his disciplinary style since pictures of the injuries sustained by his son in 2014 went viral.

For full context, here's the related excerpt from BR:

Four years removed from the trial, he still uses physical forms of punishment to discipline his children—"I had to discipline my son and spank him the other day with a belt," Peterson says—though he employs other techniques as well. He will take away their electronics, place them in different timeouts around the house, have them do wall squats. "There's different ways I discipline my kids," he says. "I didn't let that change me."

Spankings are sometimes necessary, though, he insists, especially after repeat offenses. (The belt incident came after he gave his son four chances to correct his wrong.) Peterson says he finds comfort in knowing these lessons will help his children make better decisions in the future. Corporal punishment helped him become the man he is today, after all—a man who loves his kids. "My kids love me. When they want something, they come ask dad," he says. "They enjoy being around me."

As noted by Pro Football Talk, even if Peterson were not to face legal issues for this interview answer, he could still face discipline from the NFL since the league reinstated him on the condition that he go to counseling and also "have no further violations of law or league policy."

                Per BR:

As for his pledge not to use switches? Peterson says he generally avoids using them.

"Nine times out of 10," he says, "that's not the case."

I might get grief for this but that video didn’t look too bad to me. Just a bunch of drunkenness and his “kick” was more of a shove with his foot.
This doesn’t compare to the Ray Rice incident or what Adrian Peterson did.
It makes you wonder what the NFL had on Elliott. I’m sure that little ewok has done 100 times worse.

Known what? That's the question. Hunt lied about it. He didn't get prosecuted. The NFL has been investigating, but the hotel and legal folks wouldn't let them view the video. So, to say Andy knew what happened, and didn't do anything is a bit disingenuous, I think.

This sucks for the Chiefs. The organization, the team, and the players. It's not their fault Hunt is a freaking idiot. And, of course it's past the trade deadline.

I totally disagree rspurr. He had people holding him back and still came back and kicked her. What would he have done if there weren’t other people there? Rice punched her when they were alone. Hunt had multiple people pull him away and kept coming back to fight her eventually kicking her after shoving her to the ground. Screw him!

I’m not condoning what he did in any way. I just don’t see it as being the same situation as knocking someone out cold.

He barely pushed her and if I were black and someone had called me a “stupid n——“ it would’ve been a lot worse.

I can see where the Chiefs has to cut him as soon as the video came out though.

I’m all for signing this guy after the over reaction has subsided.

As an African American who has been called that many times by ignorant people I understand how you can lose it. BUT you have to control yourself. He actually had people trying to keep him away. But she also went back at him! I am not condoning anything he did but she is culpable in this as well. I think he will be back. This isn't close to Ray Rice, Greg Hardy, or one everyone seems to forget Joe Mixon! That guy cold cocked that girl and still got drafted high. Hunt will be back just not with Chiefs
