  • Offense - Where do we go from here

Offensively its been an interesting year. Too many turnovers between the two QB's 28 TD to 13 interceptions is not great. The lack of a running game for most of the season really hurt. Still they came together up until today and played well down the stretch.

QB - Carson is our QB going forward. That is all that is certain. Nick is going to move on, Nate may also, we will most likely offer him at least a 2nd round tender but I think a team like Washington may go after him for a 2nd round pick. Either way I think we may be looking for another QB for the QB room next year. They could take one later in the draft like McSorely from Penn State or maybe sign a guy like Paxton Lynch as a developmental guy.

RB - Blow it up. I could care less if we bring any of those guys back. Of all of I would bring back Sproles pending if he wants to play. Littlewood misses the hole to much, he runs hard but he is not a back that is good for our rotation. I think Adams is too slow. Boston Scott? Clement has a pretty serious knee injury so I doubt he is ready for training camp. I can see us taking two backs in the draft. One early on say late 2nd round and one later with one of those comp picks we are getting. They could bring back Ayaji on a make good contract.

TE - We are set there

WR - Alshon tough way to lose the season but this guy is a gamer. Mack Hollins will be back. That is all that I think is certain. Not sure they bring back Agholor at 9.5 million. I think they try and resign him for a lower amount or trade him. Tate most likely is gone, Wallace is probably gone. I would bring back Mathews but only on a vet minimum type deal and just as competitive. I can see some mid-round draft pick or two here.

OT - Big V, Jordan Maleta and Lane Johnson are the certainties. I think Peters retires, if not the tough decision has to be made. They need to find a left tackle even if is to compete with Big V. They could go that way in round 1 of the draft if they can find defensive help elsewhere. going to be interesting there

G - The Brooks injury really changes things here. Sounds like its an Achilles. That means Wiz needs to stay along with his 3.5 mill cap value. Seumolo stinks but they like him so he is back. Pryor showed well in training camp. Another area where they can use some draft pick help.

Overall they need to get healthy. Carson needs to get the back taken care of, be able to work in the offseason, training camp and stay healthy during the season. The guy is a MVP type player, we need him healthy and ready for next year. They need to get LT and RB straightened out. I think they can piece the receiver thing together around Jeffrey, especially with having Ertz and Goedert.

Health goes without saying. #1 in my mind is a mauler guard that could become a tackle someday. Then a RB and then a speedy WR. I think you can find a speedy WR somewhere so I can see an Olineman and RB in draft. I think Sudfeld is back and then maybe a late pick QB or someone from the heap to be #3. They won't spend a lot because they need to do some minor cap work next year.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy

They have to have a guard/center type. Brooks with an Achilles this late in the season is Buzzard Luck for sure. He may not be ready to play next year. That’s a tough injury for a big man.

I agree on RB. None of those guys wow me.

I would bring back Agholor. Actually I think they picked up His option so I do t think they have a choice?
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

They can still cut Agholor so they have a choice. I don't think they cut him, they could trade him. He was invisible today.

Wiz and Seumolo will start next year, they have Pryor and I guess they could bring back Warmack on another 1 year vet minimum deal. They have 9 draft picks so they could address this at some point also.

If they get a mauler guard there is a chance Seumalu could cover center as can Wis (who I assume stays just for depth).

Right now it sounds like Kelce will be back. But if he does decide to retire I could see the Eagles going out and getting a veteran guard that can start. Either slide Seumolo or Wiz into center. they are actually in a decent spot to replace Kelce if need be. None will be Kelce on the screens and such but either could be fine as a center for this team.

I don't think he would be good right away but I can see Seamalu becoming a good center. But the Kelce thing is really rumor to this point

Kelce will be back but he might want a raise. Pryor's progress will be very interesting as I heard something about him also working at tackle. Big growth between years 1 and 2. I wouldn't be surprised if he started next season. The playoff run was fun and good for the franchise but it would have been nice to give him some work. I have the feeling that Peters will be back and that's fine with me. He didn't miss much time this season.

Man Smallwood had a hole the size of Texas he didn't see because he had his head down. He had some really nice blitz pickups though so I wouldn't be upset if he stayed around in the number 3 or four spot I suppose. After all, we have to protect the franchise (right MD?). We definitely need a horse though. I can't believe LA just got Anderson off the streets. Amazing. I think the guy has about 400 yards rushing in his last 3 games!

I went from a hater to a lover of Aggie. I think that something will be done there one way or another. MacLin played fine for us but between the two of them my choice is Aggie without question. Mac didn't have one drop this season with us! That's shocking.

Nick is cool but Wentz is a whole lot more fun to watch play. I'm not sure that Suds is going to be pried away. I think that we have a much higher opinion of him than the rest of the league. I still think that Nick and Howie will go along with a trade but who knows for sure?

What to do with Hicks????? Maybe a 1 year deal (for the rest of his career). The guy has a target painted on his back. Sidney Jones? You tell me? He makes Hicks look like Lou Gehrig. For you younger guys who don't know who his was ask his old roommate tino about him.
