Injured Dk Prescott can’t even function ahead of Eagles showdown

Dak Prescott may not be at full strength for Sunday’s season-deciding clash with the Eagles.

The Cowboys’ hobbled quarterback had an MRI exam on his shoulder after Sunday’s 44-21 win over the Rams. He suffered the injury during the first quarter after being tackled by Rams linebacker Clay Matthews. Prescott was able to finish the game, but complained of soreness afterwards.

“He just banged it up and it’s hard for him to function right now,” head coach Jason Garrett said Wednesday at practice. “[I] don’t want him throwing much in practice today.”

Prescott, 26, was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice. The Dallas Morning News reported that Prescott did not throw at all and barely moved his arm. The fourth-year quarterback has also been battling injuries to his index finger and wrist this season.

Prescott has not missed a game since entering the league in 2016. Garrett said he could not remember a time when Prescott was even limited in practice.

“He’s as tough as they come,” Garrett said. “He’ll be ready to go.”

Backup Cooper Rush participated in drills in Prescott’s place. Rush, 26, has not thrown a pass in a game since 2017.

The injury comes at a terrible time for the Cowboys, who will be fighting for a playoff berth this week against the Eagles. Both teams enter the game tied at 7-7 atop the NFC East. The outcome of Sunday’s matchup will almost assuredly decide who wins the division.

Pro Bowl left tackle Tyron Smith’s status is also up in the air as he deals with multiple injuries and an eye infection.

Typical Cowboy and media BS. Oh Dak is hurt. He has been hurt all year but he's a warrior. Man please! Funny no one mentioned him being hurt in losing to Bears,Bills, Jets, Vikes and so many others. No one mentioned him hurt beating Dolphins, Skins and Giants! Man I really hate the Cowboys and the media slobfest over them!

We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

He will be fine but I hope the very first play winds up with his ass on the deck holding that shoulder
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
              Hope is not a strategy

They cut this section of Samatha's Previte's journalistic masterpiece:

"There are several other medical issues affecting the health of the brave and oh-so-manly Dallas team of America's Heroes which is totally really, really unfair because the Eagles have gone the entire season with virtually no injuries.

Jason Garrett, the handsome and very intelligent Ivy League grad, who is also a very excellent clapper, down played these other troubling medical issues, "Real men don't mention medical problems like some teams we play, who I won't mention other than to say that they play in Philadelphia".

But the issues are real and they are of enormous concern to the billions of Dallas fans around the world:
                  - Jason Witten has a really bad sun burn on his cute pink cheeks because he forgot to put on really strong sun block before last Sunday's game.
                  - The knuckles on the right hand of Ezekiel Elliott are bruised pretty badly because some ungrateful young female smashed her face into his hand repeatedly when he was nice enough to take her back to his house for some playful and totally innocent forced anal sex.
                  - Center Travis Frederick's knees somehow got scraped up pretty bad from spending too much time in the shower room after the game
                  - Micheal Bennett's jaws are pretty sore from talking maybe a little more then he should
                  - and Michael Cooper says his balls really itch bad.

IMO this is just smoke. There's nothing wrong with him. They're trying to complicate the Eagles game planning. Like MDFAN said, paraphrasing, it's a game within the game.

It's all that I've heard about all week. It's even been on the national news for crying out loud. I heard that they are planning a movie if they win Sunday called "The Legend of Dak".

Before you know it it will be bigger than TO playing on a broken ankle in the super bowl.
