Aiyuk's wingspan is ridiculous for his height!

Ruggs is believed to be the fastest WR prospect, and his mitts are massive too (Not included on the charts here).

Eagles doing homework on WR speedsters. Typical due diligence. I wouldn't expect otherwise.

      https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/...jefferson-news

The 2020 NFL Combine is underway with the first wave of draft prospects speaking at the podium on Tuesday morning.

Eagles fans should be interested to know that Philadelphia’s scouting staff is showing interest in a number of wide receiver prospects, including some who are actually very fast! Various media reports indicate the Eagles have used a number of their 45 allotted Combine interview sessions on pass catchers.
Let’s take a look at what we know thus far.

      HENRY RUGGS III
The Eagles already met with Ruggs, according to Eliot Shorr-Parks.
Ruggs is a perfect fit for what the Eagles need on offense. The only problem is that the Alabama speedster is not expected to fall to No. 21. Howie Roseman just might have to find a way to trade up if the cost isn’t too prohibitive.

      JALEN REAGOR
The Eagles have already met with Reagor, per Ed Kracz.
Reagor is another speedy receiver who’s been linked to the Eagles at No. 21. Here’s what Jeremiah recently said about him:
With Reagor, he’s somebody, I think one of the things people are trying to find in this draft is your version of Tyreek Hill. He’s not as fast as Tyreek Hill, but he’s going to run in the 4.3s, and he can take the top off coverage. You can use him on the jet sweeps, get the ball to him in the flat and just let him go. He can play over the top. The knock on him, he’s got a good number of drops. So he’s got to clean that up.

      KJ HAMLER
The Eagles are meeting with Hamler on Wednesday, according to ESP.
Not unlike Ruggs and Reagor, Hamler has a reputation for being a vertical threat. Hamler logged 16.9 yards per reception and 13 total touchdowns in his final two seasons at Penn State.
The Eagles showed a strong affinity for Nittany Lions last year when they drafted Miles Sanders with a second-round pick before selecting Shareef Miller in the fourth round. The Eagles then also signed Ryan Bates and DeAndre Thompkins as undrafted rookie free agents.
Will the PSU to Philly pipeline continue? Concerns about Hamler’s size (5-8, 17 could drop him to the Eagles’ second-round selection.

      JUSTIN JEFFERSON
The Eagles have already met with Jefferson, per ESP.
Jefferson isn’t known for being a flat out burner but it’s not like he’s a non-factor in that regard. Jeremiah really likes Jefferson (No. 16 on DJ’s top 50) and thinks he could be in play for the Eagles at No. 21.
But I think Justin Jefferson has got a chance to be a high, high volume slot receiver a lot like Keenan Allen, can fill that role, can work in traffic. He’s really good down in the red zone. He led the — he led this entire draft class with touchdowns down in the red zone this year at 12. So, he’s a point producer and he would be a great fit for them.
The most recent mock drafts from both SB Nation and The Athletic have the Eagles landing Jefferson in the first round. That possibility seems to be gaining some momentum with Ruggs looking more unlikely to fall to Philly.

      KJ HILL
The Eagles have already met with Hill, per ESP.
The Eagles have probably placed too much value on college production in past years but Hill has plenty of that. The redshirt senior finished his time at Ohio State as their all-time leader in receptions with 201 for 2,332 yards and 20 touchdowns. Hill’s 11.6 yards per reception mark shows he’s not a vertical threat. He profiles as a slot receiver in the NFL.

Wide receiver prospects will take part in on-field drills at the Combine on Thursday (Feb. 27) from 4:00 PM through 11:00 PM. Just like us, the Eagles will be watching closely.

This along with various other articles show me it sure sounds like the birds know their needs. Won't be surprised to see the birds go for two WRs in first four rounds--maybe even first three rounds
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
        Hope is not a strategy

Apropos of nothing - Kobe Bryant sat near WR prospect Laviska Shenault Jr. at a Lakers game a month before the crash and told him that he wanted to see him in an Eagles uniform

dude is a beast. IF HE CAN STAY HEALTHY. Would love to see him in green
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

I have been following and studying the draft for years you all know that. I have to say this year is such a trap year for WR its not even funny. It is a deep WR draft, but their are many receivers who are getting over stated right now. There are a few things you want from a WR coming out of college. 1. Route Tree knowledge, 2. Ability to catch the ball 3. Ability to catch the contested catch. Speed, quickness are all a part of it but the last two are most important. So many misses over the years with going with guys who just have speed. Sorry Kobe but Shenault falls into that category. Ruggs scares me as he is a physical marvel and he has the college production but he played with two other first round talented receivers. How many times did he face the other teams number 1 corner? He can certainly catch the ball but the contested catch is not seen much on his tape. HE may or may not be the fastest receiver in the draft but speed alone will not do it. I love KJ Hamler from Penn State I would bet if he was running and he isn't at the combine will at his pro day he runs right in that 4.3 area which will be right around what Ruggs runs. The one know on Hamler is his hands, he does drop the ball on occasion. That is why he probably goes round 2. However he is a guy who always went against the other teams number 1 corner, he has shown the ability to catch the ball in traffic and made contested catches. Another reciever who won't be a number 1 draft pick but I think comes into this league and turns himself into a star is Van Jefferson. Watched him at Florida and he can flat out get open. Saw some of his Senior bowl practice and he could flat out get open. I would love a draft like this
              1. Kristin Fulton CB
              2. KJ Hamler WR
              3. Malik Harrison LB
              3B. Van Jefferson WR.

That would be a great Eagles draft. Now Fulton may not be there in round 1, Hamler might not make it to our pick in round 2. Howie may need to trade up a little for both but he has the picks to do it. That is four starters right there.
Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

I'd like that draft too. Do you think that the team will go FA and high draft pick in the secondary? I guess it's possible. How probable?

Sure that would be an outstanding draft but I also wonder how many of those will be there for the birds. The one great unknown is what happens in FA. If the birds sign a #1 corner it will definitely change their draft thoughts IMO. Not that they won't still go after a corner in the draft but it won't be nearly as big of a need. Maybe they go after a #1 WR in free agency but I just don't think that is as likely as corner.

After their Combine Performance yesterday it looks like Lamb, Jeudy, and Ruggs will be off the Board when the Birds pick at #21 unless Howie can move up. If They DO GO WR in Rd#1 it looks like either Shenault or Tee Higgins should be there. I'd be ok with either guy IF THEY DO Go WR in rd#1.
Just give me ONE before I go!

Aaron Moorehead, Eagles WR coach ran the drills yesterday. He should have had a great view of what was happening!
Could we move up in the second round and take Mims?

there are some great WRs, but I feel bad for the 2nd group of WRs at the combine. The second group of QBs were some real turds. They didn't get the balls the first group did. Not really too into the combine, but I did notice, that in the years I have checked in, there were so few drops this year. Some of the guys who haven't been mentioned as much as the top guys who I did like. Claypool(ND), Hightower (Boise St), 2 Jeffersons(LSU)( Florida),Watkins (S Miss)Victor (Ohio St), Swain (Florida), Proche (SMU),Reager(TCU), Mims(Baylor),Lipscomb (Vandy)

The way the colleges sling the ball all over the place I don't know why we have such a hard time finding one?

Jefferson looks to have helped himself. He could be a good possibility at 21, unless he's valued higher by another team and is selected. I didn't know that his dad played in the NFL (WR Shawn Jefferson)

I think its both probable and most likely to happen. Very difficult to replace 3 starters in just FA. Nobody is ready to step in at either CB full time and same at Free Safety. This is why everyone screaming for a WR in the first round have to chill. DB is the most pressing need on this team by far.
