  • Was it really a steal?

When we 1st got stallworth for simmy alot of people (myself included) thought we stole a good wr for a worthless LB.Looking back on things now,and with how well everybody seems to think simmy has fit into the saints lb core and how little Stallworth has given us the last 3 weeks, did we really get a steal?

The rap on him has always been injury prone and takes a long time to come back from those injuries. If you're the front office to you even try to resign this guy long term knowing that he is still on his rookie contract and has had this prob, and once he gets the big bucks it might get even worse?

How many games did he miss in the last two years?

What proof do you have that he will get worse with his current injury?

I guess you would agree that he shouldn't have listened to Reid and should have stayed out rather than trying to come back too soon.

First off dude, back the fuck up off me with the attack type language.

He has missed over the course of his career 16 game including this year.1 full season. This is not shit I am pulling out my ass,he has that rap.You didnt answer the question though,if your on the NO side and read their boards, talk to their fans, they feel like and have since the trade went down, they got us.I am just asking a question,I have not stated an opinion on donte yet,I prefer to see how it works out for the full season before I pass judgement.

If they really think they got us.. then they can be happy in that belief until Simmy misses a tackle that costs them a game.

NO is in our rear view mirror. Fuck em.

Ease up their big fella, nobody "attacked" you.

Now as far as your facts go and the thrust of this thread, I gotta disagree--------

"He has missed over the course of his career 16 game including this year.1 full season. This is not shit I am pulling out my ass,he has that rap."

Actually Stallworth has only missed 11 games total,(including this year)... missed 3 in 2002, 5 in 2003 0 in 2004 and 0 in 2005 and 3 so far this year-- that's 11. In that same time period Westy has missed 10 games(not counting playoff games, and we know he has missed some of them).... so the reality is that he is less injured than Westy is. and as far as the Saints and simy go-- c'mon, ya got to be kidding me..... Simy for ANY starting WR????? It was a steal!

                    Just my

Sorry if I came off strong, game has me pissed

I guess the question I really would like an answer to is,do you resign him long term?Brown is starting to come into his own, maybe not a dominant #1 but if he can work on those couple drops a week he has,a real good reciever.Do you draft a WR,try to sign one from FA(have not looked to see who is out there yet),or resign donte?

Once again,if I came off strong and took that wrong, than I apologize.

I kinda figured you were just pissed cause of the game. I think we're all pissed.

As far as Stallworth is concerned, I think you have to wait and see how it all plays out. He could get healthy in a week or two, and tear it up down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Yeh, I agree with EB, gotta let this thing play out now-- I was in favor of signing him early on, before the price went up-- but as of right now, a more conservative approach is warranted IMO.

This O still need a fast deep threat, and Donte presents that -- if he can stay on the field. IMO, this O could be very very very scary good IF he is on the filed and opens up the middle with his deep routes!
