  • Michael Lewis

Taking emotion out of it, do you agree w/ benching him for the last series, and do you now drop him on the depth chart? No question the guy's name has been "Toast" for more then a few plays this year and last, but at any point do you blame JJ for puting him in specific defenses, when you know he doesn't cover well? And if you do drop him to second string, how does that effect guy's like Dawk and Trott, who obviously have alot of loyalty to Lewis.

it's a cruel game. But you certainly can't have a safety who lacks instinct and good sense protecting the deep middle for your team when they've got a lead in the fourth quarter. He may not necessarily be benched but his rotation will be different. Yes the Eagles made a lot of mistakes today, but Lewis' gaffe changed the entire flow of the game at that point.

Sad to say but Lewtoast has to go, now. I want Dawk at SS and Considine at FS for the rest of the year. Bring back Vincent to shore things up for the balance of the year.

Yes, please, put the guy (and the rest of us) out of his (our) misery. Sean Considine can't be any worse. Lewis is costing us huge plays multiple times EVERY game. It's unaccpetable. It's gone on for way too long. I think he's been given enough chances to turn it around.

Agreed on all points. Enough is enough already, BENCH HIM.

                Hard to believe...

"I believe in Mike's ability," defensive teammate Sheldon Brown said. "He's a guy who went to the Pro Bowl. He knows how to play the game."

THIS guy went ot a Pro Bowl....and is now playing like he is. Wow...

He never went to the Pro bowl for his coverage skills!

Michael Lewis = Rich Ankiel, Mackey Sasser, Pat Burrell

You telling me that one-dimensional players should be Pro Bowl players?

I'm just saying that 3 years ago, I don't believe anyone had any issues with his coverage skills. His strongest suit may have been the licks he laid on people, but his coverage wasn't seen as a liability.

Ummm...not to totally change the subject to something off-subject, but does Pat Burrell really belong along side of Ankiel and Sasser? Didn't you mean Steve Sax, not Pat Burrell? I know, I know...Burrell's not clutch. But he was in the past. I wouldn't give up on the guy just yet. >>YPCM ducks<<

I'd definitely get Considine on the field for as many snaps as possible this week. I don't think he can do any worse than Lewis has, and he may step up and play really well if given the opportunity.

Is Ed Reed going to be a FA after this season? Just Asking.
