You are kidding right, Spot on Article, he ripped everyone on the team. He ripped Reid, he ripped McNabb he ripped everyone. It was the type of article that needs to be written. These guys are out there doing the Super Bowl Shuffle and they are not even a playoff team right now.

It really comes down to knowing your team and being willing to accept a win that is short on style points. Gruden was happy to do that yesterday. Reid wasn't. He wanted the whole Fly Eagles Fly routine, even though the team is clearly incapable of that right now.
This is so true. Reid does not put his team in position to win these types of games.

That play at the end of the half is on Reid period. Its not all on McNabb, because Mcnabb is going to try and make a play any how any way there. He trusts guys like LJ Smith to get into the end zone. Smith ran a short route two yards short and he couldn't bull his way into the end zone. The fact is we have all seen this enough to know that you take the points there. The personell on this team is not able to execute a quick pass into the end zone. Reid has to recognize that throw out his damn chart and do what is right

This is on McNabb only. You throw in in the endzone or away. No other choices

AR's only responsibility to MacDaddy was to "remind" him to just get rid of it. Wether it was a assistant or himself- Hope he did do that- And MacDaddy has to know in his career that by now- YOU THROW IT AWAY! 75% MacDaddy, 25% AR&Co.

How can you say that the play is "on Reid period," and then three seconds later say that "Smith ran a short route two yards short?"

What you are saying is that the problem is with both the coach and the players. Reid should have made firm instructions to McNabb to throw the ball into or beyond the endzone. We don't know how the play was designed. It may have called for the tight end to be in the endzone. In any case, Smith should have made sure that his route was in the endzone.

You have no idea what the design of the play is. Smith running that route may have been nothing more than a decoy on the play with the hope of picking up on Smith and freeing up a WR in the endzone or a back out of the backfield.

Your Pro-Bowl QB has to know better than that. It's pretty simple. Look for a WR open in the end zone. If not, then throw it away.

That is 100% on McNabb there. Not even close to Reid's fault.

the way eagles are closing, or not closing i should say, games, the Bucs would have connected on a hail mary to beat the eagles 27-24, even if the birds scored 3 before the half. Something is preventing them from hammering the win down at the close of games. We've seen the opposition 4 times this year do something spectacular against us at the end. Fortunately, Bledsoe threw an interception to bail M. Lewis out against Dallas, or the Eagles would have four painful last second losses. Maybe they're a bit too tentative or self conscious after last year. Despite all the mistakes, the special teams had to corral Pitmann at the 20 yardline after Westbrook scored. They didn't.

Then again...anytime you let a team in the game in the NFL your fate is cast to the wind. That game was lost in the first half.
