  • at least the Jints suck too

I don't rant much, so please excuse it, but here goes:

Though I never wish injuries on anyone, I can't say that I mind the sight of injuries plaguing another team like the Jints for a change.

I've been a fan since about 1979, and I don't remember this much parity -- ok, this much "suck" -- around the NFC after 9 games, ever. Injuries or not. I expected a dog fight this season, but this is just f'd up.

I mean, we have Chicago, which is 9-1, but like Indy, is actually a plenty mortal team when the opposition shows up, then:
    5 teams at 6-4
    3 teams at 5-5
and I'll stop at 3 teams at 4-6.

If there was ever a year that a 9-7 or an 8-8 team made the playoffs, right now, it looks like this would be it. Damn shame the Eagles have been so...well, you know how that's been this year. Even if other teams have figured out how to beat JJ's defense, we've been beating ourselves much worse in other areas, etc etc etc.

By the way, I might as well ask the angry haters and the angry a**logists, if Reid is such a bad coach, and our roster is so terrible, then how the heck did we end up at 5-5 and are still supposedly "in it"? Don't get me wrong, I don't see us suddenly pulling things together, but after 9 games I guess we don't have a monopoly on suck compared to the rest of the NFC, after all.

"No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us, we don’t care, we’re from Philly, F—-ing Philly, No one likes us, we don’t care!”

The majority of the conference is simply mediocre, and flawed. The Seahawks have dealt with some real injury issues, as have the Giants. And now us of course. THose are 3 teams that at the beginning of the season many projected to be in the top of the conference. So injuries are PART of it. Another part, I am begining to believe, it that FA has turned the majority of football players into guys who worry about business first, me first, team last. When you see crap that is going on right now with guys like Moss, and Plaxico last night, (that no-attempt to make a tackle was disgusting) and of course our buddy TO, you begin to believe that we will NEVER see the passion and fire of a Gang Green defense again. THere are still a few guys around who will sell out there bodies to make a play for the team (one reason I will always love Dawk, even as his skills diminish), but those guys are the inority now.

We have a bunch of prancing prima donnas in this league now who don't have a killing instinct and don't care about dominating any more.

    Just my opinion.

The division is still a dog fight. The problem is that all the dogs are poodles.

I hate everything the Cowboys stand for. If you think they are America's team, then you support everything that is wrong with America. The excess, the greed, the lack of maturity, the lack of responsibility, the lack of control. - Luzinski's Gut

        NFC East W L T
        NY Giants 6 4 0
        Dallas 6 4 0
        Philadelphia 5 5 0
        Washington 3 7 0

This division is still right there. What will confound us the rest of the year is that loss to NY. We'd be right there for the WC also. But right now we are one game out.

I can see the Giants going 2-4 the rest of the way. Dallas is playing the best of these three right now and has an easier schedule.
