I don't rant much, so please excuse it, but here goes:
Though I never wish injuries on anyone, I can't say that I mind the sight of injuries plaguing another team like the Jints for a change.
I've been a fan since about 1979, and I don't remember this much parity -- ok, this much "suck" -- around the NFC after 9 games, ever. Injuries or not. I expected a dog fight this season, but this is just f'd up.
I mean, we have Chicago, which is 9-1, but like Indy, is actually a plenty mortal team when the opposition shows up, then:
5 teams at 6-4
3 teams at 5-5
and I'll stop at 3 teams at 4-6.
If there was ever a year that a 9-7 or an 8-8 team made the playoffs, right now, it looks like this would be it. Damn shame the Eagles have been so...well, you know how that's been this year. Even if other teams have figured out how to beat JJ's defense, we've been beating ourselves much worse in other areas, etc etc etc.
By the way, I might as well ask the angry haters and the angry a**logists, if Reid is such a bad coach, and our roster is so terrible, then how the heck did we end up at 5-5 and are still supposedly "in it"? Don't get me wrong, I don't see us suddenly pulling things together, but after 9 games I guess we don't have a monopoly on suck compared to the rest of the NFC, after all.
