  • If we beat Atlanta and Washington (What???????????)

We make the playoffs @ 8-8 by virtue of tiebreaker over Carolina.

Am I drunk? How can this be? We need to root for the GIANTS over Carolina this week though...If that occurs the Eagles make the playoffs.

    Remaining schedules:

Giants 9-7 PLAYOFFS (vs. New Orleans on the Road)

    Dec 10 @Carolina 1:00pm - WIN
    Dec 17 Philadelphia 4:15pm - WIN
    Dec 24 New Orleans 1:00pm - LOSS
    Dec 30 @Washington 8:00pm - WIN

    Panthers 8-8

    Dec 10 N.Y. Giants 1:00pm - LOSS
    Dec 17 Pittsburgh 1:00pm - WIN
Dec 24 @Atlanta 1:00pm - WIN [This game can go either way and its fine]
    Dec 31 @New Orleans 1:00pm - LOSS

Eagles 8-8 - PLAYOFFS (vs. Seattle on the Road)

    Dec 10 @Washington 1:00pm - WIN
    Dec 17 @N.Y. Giants 4:15pm - LOSS
    Dec 25 @Dallas 5:00pm - LOSS
    Dec 31 Atlanta 1:00pm - WIN

    Falcons (Awful team) 7-9

    Dec 10 @Tampa Bay 1:00pm - WIN
    Dec 16 Dallas 8:00pm - LOSS
Dec 24 Carolina 1:00pm - LOSS [This game can go either way and its fine]
    Dec 31 @Philadelphia 1:00pm - LOSS

Egad, good job figuring out the scenarios BP.
"Philly fans are great....It's the only place where you pull up on the bus and you've got the grandfather, the grandmother, the kids and the grandkids - everybody flicking you off. At other stadiums, they give you the thumbs-down. Here, they give you the middle finger.”
    — Michael Strahan

"No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us, we don’t care, we’re from Philly, F—-ing Philly, No one likes us, we don’t care!”

Yeah - I mean a ton can happen in the NFL over 25% of the season remains...but man alive...if you do just a little good faith predicting as above (Very reasonable) - it's downright probable.

Now Seattle will put a hurtin on us in Seattle but heck...it would still add a sense of fun to the season...

And since when have you started to have a little faith after week 5?

What would be truly insane would be for the Eagles to back in at 8-8, and the defense suddenly get it's $hit together for the playoffs...

Jeeze, I always felt we would only win one as the underdog, but this is ridiculous.

In this year's NFL I just can't look at any scenarios. This is probably the 1st year in a long time that from week to week there are so many games where you say "how did that happen?" I mean a 60 yarder and a 62 yarder to win games in the same season? The Bears doing absolutely nothing on offense the entire game but turn the ball over to the Cards and yet they still win? Giants blowing a 21 pt lead in the 4th? The Eagles blowing a 20+ pt lead at home! This is a year where you watch one week and hope your team wins but nothing is a given. So the only scenario I see is the Eagles are 6-6 playing the Skins.
            I miss Philly!

What could hurt us is if New Orleans has clinched SOMETHING, and rests their players against Carolina that last game of the year.

NO will be chasing that 1st round bye with Dallas and Seattle. You don't need to fear that.

The panthers could very well lose the next two weeks and put themselves out of it. Then again - we could lose the next two with the same result. There is no doubt the opportunity is there for us. I can't look past this week though to be honest.

Cowgirls could be resting players when we play them on christmas also, who knows.

All they can do is go out and play the games.

                      * Do you really think Bill Parcells would not take a chance to pound us and make a point?

Why root for the Giants? They have as much chance to collapse as the Panthers. I'd rather the Panthers make the playoffs than those pricks in N. Jersey.

Not if it meant he had to take risks with some of his aching players.

But that wasn't the point, the point is all the team can do is go out and play the games, and not worry about 23 different scenarios.

i think cuz of nyg head to head tiebreak, unless we beat them and it goes down to lower breaks

                            thanks bp

I hear you but to hope for the Giants to win because we know they'll beat us? That's a tough one to swallow.
