He is stretching those numbers a bit to make his point, but I do believe Curtis can replace Stall and the offense should work fine...

For example, he argues Curtis has "much better" YPA in short balls by comparing Curtis's 6.2 to Stall's 5.6, but then argues also that on medium balls Curtis's 6.2 is "just as good" as Stall's 7.2 YPA?

      Huh?

I agree with Vote on this. A little disingenuous, but his overall point is plausible. I'm hopeful for the O to be productive.

Duh...he first is discussing the 2006 deep pass numbers. Then he goes to the 2005 deep pass numbers. Next he seems to refer to the 2006 short pass numbers. Lastly he refers (in my understanding) to their respective medium pass histories, by which I understand not just 2006 and 2005 but their "history" ie about 4 years for each. He does not provide those numbers, nor the 2005 but only the 2006 as the primary example. To be absolutely clear he could haved provided every year and totals but instead chose to summarize. In fact he clearly states when he is referring to 2006 and to 2005 and to "history". They are three different sets of stats IMO. What's so hard to understand? Huh?

I was much more impressed by the catch % on short balls - only four incompletions on 31 passes! The percentage was higher on medium and deep routes too. This, to me, is the key to Curtis v. Stallworth - Curtis has great hands and caught 70% of his passes last year, Stallworth managed only about 50%. We already have Brown with sketchy hands and Baskett didn't do particularly well either. Curtis is not as explosive as Donte, but if he can make more catches and sustain more drives, then maybe we can strike a balance between the big-play offense of the first half of '06 and the ball-control offense of the second half.
