  • say what you want about Rosenhaus

he delivers for his clients. (Going to hell but he delivers.)

According to his agent Drew Rosenhaus, the deal signed on Tuesday by San Francisco 49ers star running back Frank Gore was a four-year deal worth $28 million dollars, including $13.8 of it in guaranteed money.

The completion of Gore's deal also means that Rosenhaus Sports has now negotiated $300 million dollars in new contracts this off-season, covering a total of 21 players, and still have Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, who would receive a new deal if traded before the draft. Rep1 Sports, the new company started by Bruce and Ryan Tollner, are running in second place in terms of "New Dollars" as they have negotiated over $100 million dollars in new contracts this off-season.

If I was a player and supremely talented I'd hire Rosenhaus. His record is too good to ignore. GM's may hate him, but as long as they don't skip around his players they'll deal with it.

His day will come...he does a very good job for his clients, but the way he treats people, organizations and the manipulation he engages in will catch up to him sooner or later...one stays on top of the mountain only so long before they get knocked off...he got supremely exposed during the TO situation here and everyone knows he is a two-bit hustler...they have to deal with him because he gets the top clients, but as soon as that changes they will drop him like a stone IMO...going to be a great day when it happens.

Whenever I think about Rosenhaus, I think of the scene in He Got Game where the agent says to Jesus Shuttlesworth, "here's a gift to you.. it's 50,000 rolex...."

You're black, I'm white, this is green. Now Jesus when making a business decision the only color that matters is green.

make sure you freeze frame on Rosario Dawson's tatas.

And that speech was horribly delivered but the agent was right on. You can't just be letting your homies represent you. (ahem LeBron James...) Let the sharks swim with sharks.

He has negotiated $300 million worth of deals since Feb. 4th! What is the going rate for an agent? I've heard figures from 5% up to 30%. That means he's earned between $15 and $90 million in the last 7 weeks and will likely see about 1/3-1/2 of that money since the back end of many of those deals will go away. Even at $5 million that's some nice coin for 7 weeks work!!!

Yeah, part of the reason why he has so many clients is because he takes a smaller commission than most other agents.

NFL rules (or maybe NFLPA) limit the max an agent can take to 3%. Are there ways around it? Maybe, but 3% is the written limit.
