Cowboys had a good draft -- particularly getting the No. 1 from Cleveland for next year. But I don't see how that and Leonard Davis gets you that much love.
Don't kid yourself Jimmy. If a cow ever got the chance, he'd kill you and everyone you cared about!

About the Pats (the #1 obvious choice), they said:
Are they in better shape now than they were in January? Yes. That is, of course, unless Randy Moss goes insane and infects a locker room full of model citizens.

That'd be fun to see, wouldn't it??

The problem w/ this guy's logic is that it's apparent that he doesn't understand that lost players can sometimes be replaced BY PLAYERS ALREADY ON THE ROSTER.

He seems to think that any player that's lost has to be replaced either in the free agency or w/ a high draft pick.

Of course, knowing the ability of the back up players on NFL rosters would require some actual research on his part, and i'm sure he couldn't be bothered w/ that.

I agree. You could have a high priced vet playing out his contract, get cut because there is a second or third year guy READY to take his place. Keeping all of your older players SHOULD mean a small decline, but I'll bet he didn't use that kind of factor. Having rookies complete their first season makes them BETTER, but there is no level of how much better. Injuries can be a minus or positive, depending on the type of injury and the ability of a positional player to return fully healthy.

What I think is important is having the same nucleus, at least in the most important positions.

The only place the Iggles needed improvement at was defense, especially in the running area. The Iggles not only get a probowler back, but they gained two good run stoppers and a probowl linebacker. They then have two top draft picks taking over the other linebacker position and a bigger top draft pick at DE. They clearly got better at their only weakness, so why is that NOT a top ten improvement?
