  • Vulnerable at Safety

It was at Dallas. The Eagles will win in Philly. The Eagles are a better team than Dallas.

    But:

    Two things:

    1. LJ was invisible while Whitten was the difference in the game.

    2. The fact is, the Eagles biggest defensive weakness is at safety and at LB VS. a good TE. I'm confident that the LB's will improve as will Mikell... I don't see 'Dawk or Considine getting any better... and that is a huge concern for me.

Dawk on TO? Dawk on Whitten? We saw the result... It wasn't even competitive.... JJ did what he could but when the Cowboys were able to isolate Dawk they smoked him. I realize this is sacriligious but be honest. From a skill standpoint, neither Dawkins or Considine is any better than pedestrian...

Question is... Do we keep running 'em out there or try to do something to address it...?

BTW Heath Miller is a VERY good TE.

    I'm still taking the Eagles

I love Dawk but maybe the Brown at safety experiment needs a few reps.

I think its time to get Demps some time at Free Safety he is fast enough and strong enough to cover some of the things they were trying to do with Dawk.
Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

Perhaps. I just doubt that Demps is knowledgeable or seasoned enough for the job.

I concur. Demps, IMO, should have more seasoning under Dawkins' wing.

I know one thing - they'd better get Considine out of their in the dime package.

The only thing I can say for Dawk is that 2 years ago at this stage - we said he was done and somehow he mustered the energy to play at an absurdly high level the 2nd half of the year. I'm hoping but not holding my breath this may be the case. I think we'll be able to tell in the next couple of weeks but we owe it to him to see if he can work things out (even if it is painful to watch).

I concur, mc. Add in the fact that Demps needs to learn more. He looked lost at times in the pre season.

Spads just dissed Dawk pretty good on Eagles Live. He said teams are gunning for the Eagles' weakness, and it's Dawk. Personnaly, maybe Dawk is slowing down a little, but it's not like Owens hasn't burnt others before Dawk.

Why not let Demps replace Considine in the dime? He can't hurt you anymore than Considine does.

This is a change that I would like to see soon, like this weekend.
Demps has some real potential & had a lot of INTs in college. Considine needs to stay off the field unless we have a DB injury,
we've all seen what he can and can't do.

I will(*would) wait until week 4 before I would make any changes unless things get a lot worse. I can't base anything off of the Dallas game because their offense is so good. IMO the Steelers game will show what adjustments need to be made.

I hate everything the Cowboys stand for. If you think they are America's team, then you support everything that is wrong with America. The excess, the greed, the lack of maturity, the lack of responsibility, the lack of control. - Luzinski's Gut

Demps needs to get some time as does JR Reed.

I love Brian Dawkins, Lord knows I do. He is all Eagle, but last night he got exposed a little bit. He just doesn't have the athletic ability he once had.

Don't get me wrong, he is better than 25 other starting FS in the NFL, but he was the weak link in the secondary.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

At least now I won't have to listen to people tell me how Considine never gets beaten deep.

Watching Dawk get abused last night was by far the most painful part of the game last night.

If you ask me Jim Johnson and a horseshit gameplan were the things exposed. He put some people in tough positions last night.

Yes, he definitely needs to put people in better positions.

Dawk shouldn't be on TO near the goal line. That's just asking for trouble. That's like when opponents have a LB on Westbrook. You salivate and chalk up the TD.
