  • This will piss you off

Geeze Andy, heaven forbid you get a guy that can do it all.

    Reid Really Said This?

    From today's press conference:
On what he likes about this group of receivers: "Last night, (McNabb) hit nine different guys I think it was. But the wide receivers, they seem to be playing well. They've all got one or two redeeming qualities and Don's using those. (Offensive coordinator) Marty (Mornhinweg)'s doing a great job of setting those up in the offense and the guys are catching the football. If you remember earlier in the year we had so many drops that I think we were leading the league at one point in drops, so I think the guys are doing a better job of focusing in and catching the ball."
Did you miss it? Here it is again:

Geez, Freudian slip on that one.

Holy shit, run for the hills, AR used a poor choice of words.

Yeah, AR probably coulda phrased that better, but I really do like the way they're using these guys now. Using this play balance and the gang of four (we need a nickname for DJax-Curtis-Baskett-Avant......ABCD?) is a lot better than the chinese fire drills that we'd been using with all the wideouts before, and they've been firing on all cylinders for the last 3 games. It's been cool to see.
"Philly fans are great....It's the only place where you pull up on the bus and you've got the grandfather, the grandmother, the kids and the grandkids - everybody flicking you off. At other stadiums, they give you the thumbs-down. Here, they give you the middle finger.”
      — Michael Strahan

"No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us, we don’t care, we’re from Philly, F—-ing Philly, No one likes us, we don’t care!”

At least it didn't piss on them.

Wait, we complain that Reid says nothing but platitudes and blows smoke up our asses about the players in his pressers....

and then (again) when he says something meaningful and a little critical, we parse his words and criticize him for that too?

No wonder the guy is careful....

I don't care about his words, it's his theory that he can parade a bunch of OK WR out there every year and Donovan is supposed to make it work. With the exception of '04, that has been his method.

He's finally hit on a good group with Jax, Curtis, Avant and Hank with LJ and Westy. But his insistance on avoiding FA wideouts is maddening.

I actually think they're fine there, to borrow a phrase.

I want a big blocking TE, a big power RB to complement Westbrook, and a new tackle to take over for one of the aging guys. Maybe a new center too.
Don't kid yourself Jimmy. If a cow ever got the chance, he'd kill you and everyone you cared about!

This didn't piss me off. I actually like that he sees reality. Although DeSean has a little more than a couple of redeeming qualities.

New center=Nick Cole if Andrews can come back healthy.

I heard it when he made the comment. It appears Reid is spending too much time around The Weasel. Poor choice of words.....or....did he mean it exactly the way it sounds? If so, CHANGE IT, Lard-o!!!!!!

For once I can say I am happy with our WRs 1 - 4 maybe even deeper. But I am a big believer in moving Herremans to one of the OT spots as needed and bringing in Duke Robinson the massive mauler from Okie to fill his old spot. Plug Andrews back in at RG and maybe add Stacy Andrews to duke it out at RT with Runyan and we would be stacked on the OL. All we would need and we should be able to grab one of them, is draft Pettigrew or Gresham for TE. If we are sure of Runyan then grab William Moore the Mizzou S.
