Another POS info from long, long ago from the resident Old Fart.
Back early last century, in the days of the 5 yard 1st downs etc, there was a very high priority placed on punting. The dropkick was a major weapon before the pass ever was attempted. In fact for most teams, their punter was always the FB. One of the last teams to continue this trend was the 48/49 Eagles. They had a tough guy named Joe Muha wh played FB, LB, P and PK. He was the best in the business for the champs. Later he was an Asst Coach at SCal and a referee in the NFL for a long time.
Just another piece of long forgotten history.
