Sherman is praying his tendons hold through the physical
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. Giants cut Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie over pay cut

For Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, it was either "pay cut" or get cut. On Sunday, he chose the latter.
The New York Giants decided Sunday to release the veteran cornerback, and Rodgers-Cromartie confirmed his departure on social media:
The move comes one day after NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported DRC was asked by the new Giants regime to take a "significant pay cut" from his $6.5 million salary for the 2018 season. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport added that Rodgers-Cromartie was also asked to move to safety, but the corner will instead test the open market as an outside cornerback.
Rodgers-Cromartie joins a slew of top-to-mid tier cornerbacks in the free agency pool. Former Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman spent just one day on the market before signing an incentive-laden deal with the San Francisco 49ers. Sans Sherman, Malcolm Butler, Trumaine Johnson, Bashaud Breeland, E.J. Gaines, Brent Grimes, Morris Claiborne and Prince Amukamara lead this season's free-agent cornerback class. Of those top talents, the 31-year-old DRC is older than all of them but Grimes.
Rodgers-Cromartie has played for four organizations (Cardinals, Eagles, Broncos, Giants) over 10 seasons in the league. He spent the last four years of his career in New York and was released Sunday with one season remaining on a five-year, $35 million deal signed in 2014.
A two-time Pro Bowler and 2016 second-team All-Pro, DRC saw his production take a hit during New York's tumultuous 2017 season. The corner failed to record an interception for the first time since 2011 and recorded just one pass defensed in 15 games played. Rodgers-Cromartie also incurred a team-issued suspension early in the season after getting into a heated argument with then-Giants coach Ben McAdoo in practice.
It remains to be seen what DRC's market will be, considering the dearth of younger free-agent options at corner this offseason, or whether the veteran footballer will be willing, with another organization, to switch positions.

It’s kind of fun looking at all these shitty deals when you have Howie the Wizard at the helm making the other execs look stupid.

I can't wait to see who ruins their franchise by signing Cousins to a really crazy deal. IMO he doesn't have IT and never will he lead a team to anything but mediocrity

It's only going to cost you $200 million to find out!

He might be taken more seriously in his career if he just shaved off the porno muzzy and beard.

We have a few shitty deals ourselves. Vinny Curry for one but when Howie gave him the money he was coming off a 9 sack season and its not like Curry is a bad player, he just isn't worth his cap number.

Howie traded of the Torey Smith contract which wasn't good. Other than that maybe you can say the Fletcher Cox contract but he is a top interior de lineman they get paid.
Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

Miami Dolphins likely to release DT Ndamukong Suh

The Miami Dolphins' roster purge won't be limited to just Jarvis Landry and Jay Ajayi.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday the team is likely to release three-time All-Pro defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh before the new league year begins Wednesday.
The move has been rumored to be a possibility for the past month, though given the massive cap hit the 'Fins will eat to make the cut, it's still hard to believe Dolphins executive VP of football operations Mike Tannenbaum is pulling the trigger on the transaction this week.
Releasing Suh, who just three years ago inked a whopping six-year, $114 million contract with the Dolphins, without a June 1 designation will incur an astounding $22.2 million cap penalty while saving the Dolphins just $3.9 million, per NFL Research. If he's released with a June 1 designation, $9.1 million of Suh's $22.2 million of dead money would count against the 2018 cap while the remaining $13.1 million would count against the team's 2019 cap.
Given that Miami agreed to take on Robert Quinn's $11.4 million cap hit in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, the move hardly makes sense on the surface.
But, as was the case when the Dolphins traded away running back Ajayi for just a fourth-round pick and agreed to jettison receiver Landry for fourth- and seventh-round picks, cutting Suh could be more locker-room based than performance based.
The big DT tallied 15.5 sacks and 181 combined tackles in his time in Miami, despite eating up double teams constantly. Since 2010, he ranks second among NFL DTs in sacks (51.5), first in QB hits (147), second in total pressures (381.5) and first in tackles for loss (103).
Ajayi found a happy home in Philadelphia when the Dolphins cut him loose. Landry sounded excited about his pending move to Cleveland. It appears Suh will have the opportunity to follow in their footsteps when free agency kicks off later this week.

maybe we will see if he wants to play in Philly. Suh and Cox could be an interesting pairing.

I'm just wondering if the problems in Miami might not be the players??? It's starting to resemble the Chip Kelly saga down there. I do know that Suh is a very intelligent guy (he's hooked up with Warren Buffet) and Ajayi is no dummy either. They have some nice RBs in Miami so I guess that trade for Ajayi made some sense but the Suh situation makes none.

I saw a lot of them with me living in Florida. They were undisciplined and I didn’t think much of the play calling. Of course Cutler was the QB.

I think the word enigma fits here.

Maybe we will see if in fact Suh wants to play for free in Philly
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
                            Hope is not a strategy

I know if he's inspired, Suh next to Cox would make a DEs life pretty easy
