Keep Hamels, Rollins, Pence, Madson (unless his demands are too high), Kendrick, Francisco and Valdez

Oswalt, Ibanez, Lidge, Schneider, Orr - See ya!

Gload - tar and feather, then See ya!

    Contracts not up:

Polanco and Blanton - arrange fatal accident

I think the Phillies are going to shuffle the deck this offseason. I don't expect Rollins back (he will get more money elsewhere) Madson (see Rollins) or Ibanez. Kendrick I believe will get traded. Pence and Hamels get long term contracts, they are arbitration eligable and in their primes. Valdez probably is back also. The rest are most likely gone. Mayberry takes over in left, they will probably sign a lefthanded hitting outfielder to use at times for Mayberry and Pence. One of the young pitchers (Bastardo, Stutes, DeFratus , Swimmer etc) will step up into the closers role, I would look for a mid level free agent signing for the bullpen. Shortstop is interesting, they could sign a Ronny Cedeno type for a year while Galvis gets another year in AAA or they could give the position to Gavlis and try and get an upgrade at 3rd base, they can then use Polanco as a super sub.

The most intriquing situation is Oswalt and Blanton. I think the PHillies would like to keep Oswalt but at a reduced salary, maybe in return for a longer term contract. Something like 3yrs 30 mill with incentives to get him to 45 mill or so. Blanton is a problem since he is hurt. Most likely he get surgury in the offseason and is out for 2012.

There's no way they bring Ibanez back. He's a definite subtraction.

I don't think Oswalt wants to pitch anymore. Just let him go.

I do not want Oswalt back at all. If you watch his starts he has nothing left. If he is not "on" its batting practice

One pitch - fastball - He teed it up for St. Louis.

If you want to bring him back, understand you are getting 4-5runs/5-6innings. Im hoping vance Worley can give you atleast that next year and use his money elsewhere.

Oswalt still hasn't signed - Does anyone want Amaro to make one last run with him.

Maybe he is going to pull a Pedro and come back at the allstar break

That might be a good idea. We could have him fresh towards the end of the season. I won't miss him though. He gave us exactly what we expected him to give us against the Cards.
