My guess is to control the amount of people that come to the parade. That should not be what this is about though. The city estimates are 1.5 to 2 million for the parade, everyone else is thinking 3-4 million. The only way to stay in that 1.5 to 2 mill range is to control it. Its not right, Kenny is the worst mayor this city has ever had.
Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

I watched nbc channel 10 for the first time last night and said wtf???? SEPTA (mass tran system) is only letting 50,000 people on it that day to avoid problems that they had when the Pope visited. taz is right that the only people that will be able to see it are people who live in the city. It sounds like he was discouraging people to attend. When the Red Sox had their parade the first time that they had one they put the players in duck boats so people could line the river and they had 3 million people and Boston is a small city. It sounds like Philly is going to draw only a small fraction of that the way it's set up. They are discouraging people to attend.

Just heard Kenny interviewed on NFLN and he said they expected 2 million people to attend the parade. Something weird is going on. They've closed 3 big parking lots significantly limiting the ability of people to drive in.
